Product Description
Water Inlet Valve Specifications
This water inlet valve is a key component in washing machines, responsible for regulating the flow of hot and cold water into the appliance during the fill cycle. It features two separate inlets and connects to the fill hoses to ensure proper water delivery. If your washer is not filling correctly or you're noticing leaks beneath the unit, the inlet valve may be faulty and should be replaced. Installation requires basic tools such as a screwdriver or wrench to access and remove the old valve. This OEM part is sold individually and does not include additional accessories.

Easy Repair, we had no hot water and cycles did not advance
Washer did not have hot water, and cycles would not advance. Hardest part was taking the washer lid off, found a video on utube and got the lid was unlatched, then the control panel was easy to access. This water inlet valve part was quite easy to replace, found many videos on utube on how to replace the part. Once we removed our inlet valve, we noticed we had hairline cracks on it. New part came fast, easy repair and washer worked great after replacing!!

Water leaking at front left of washer especially after heavy loads
Disconnected water and unplugged. Took off top and control panel. Replaced water inlet valve with new one. Simple plug and play connections. It was easy to see the old valve was bad with rust and sediment collecting on hot side.

Water was dripping while the machine wasn’t running
Removed two screws that held the control panel from the back with a power drill. Pop the control panel loose with a screwdriver from the top of the machine with the quick disconnects. After turning both the hot and cold water off I remove the hoses with pliers removed two screws with the power drill that hold the water inlet valve in place disconnected the wire harness plug And removed water inlet valve swap, the original harness to the new water inlet valve and follow the steps backwards to finish

Washer not filling then timing out before load done
Turned off power and water. Removed hoses/Unplugged power. Removed screws to open and access control panel. Removed existing valve first by pinching off 6 wire connectors then screws securing valve to washer base. At this point, I replaced with new valve and reattached everything. I also added screen washers to both hoses as I suspect it was built up debris in original valve impeding water flow through valve that led to problem…

Washer won't fill with water, Error Code LF showing on display panel.
Watched and followed You Tube Video . "Solved: The Fix for a Whirlpool Washing Machine that won't fill with water." The video is a little over 8 minutes long. At that start of the video he encourages you to watch all of the video for special instructions near the end of the video. You need to do that! I put 30-60 minutes, but actual time was 4 days as I had to order parts and wait for the parts to arrive.

Cold water stopped working
Pried open the top of the machine. Used a putty knife. This was the hardest part of the job. Take your time. Took off upper plate of the back of machine, to free the value. Unplugged the power wires from the old valve and unscrewed it. Put in the new one and reversed processes. Easy peezy. Great deal on part. Saved hundreds of dollars doing it myself

I have Whirlpool cabrio washer model number wtw7300dw1 cannot get water to come in can it's be the water inlet valve
For model number WTW7300DW1
Hi Leon, thank you for your question. Yes, you should take a look at your water inlet valve. The valve can be tested with a multi meter and should be reading between 500 - 1500 ohms of resistance. Good luck with your repair.

Washer seems to go through all the correct sequences until it try’s to fill with water. You can hear it trying to get water in but it’s very faint water running sound and it clicks randomly in the area of the water fill valve solenoids. Is the water fill solenoid my problem or is it the circuit board?
For model number 110.26132411
Hi Charles, the water inlet valve is the most likely fix. Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair!

When the washer begins a normal cycle it sounds like there is water hammer. A plumber came and installed two pressure valves to reduce the noise but it still continues to make a banging noise. When the normal wash setting is on cold, the machine calls for Hot water and while holding the pipe i can feel it making a banging sound every few seconds. Would replacing the inlet valve solve the problem? Thank you!
For model number WTW7300DW1
Hello AJ, Thank you for your inquiry. If the washer is already set to be getting only between 30-55 PSI for water pressure (which is the usual cause of water hammer), we would recommend checking the water inlet valve, the water pressure hose and the control board as this controls the flow of water coming into the washer. Check the hose and test the water inlet valve with a multimeter, and if replacing the valve does not fix the issue, you may have a faulty control board. We hope this helps and if you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you!

hello,
A small amount of water is coming out while filling the washer, sometimes I get a faulty code F8E1 (no water detected), sometimes it works fine. Could it be the water valve?
Thank you
For model number wtw7120hw
Hello Mario, thank you for contacting us. If F8 E1 or LF appears in the display, it means the washer is taking too long to fill. It indicates that there is some problem with the water supply going to the washer. Please make sure both inlet hoses are properly connected and both hot and cold water supplies are turned on. If this does not help, the water inlet valve, part number PS12349461, is the most probable culprit. Customer service is available 7 days a week if you require assistance placing an order. Thanks again for reaching out!
