My washer won’t power off (without unplugging), or start. When attempting to start the lights will cycle across, but the door never locks to begin. This began after the electricity in the house flickered during a wash cycle.
For model number MVW6200KW0
Hello Andre, thank you for getting in touch. The flickering electricity could have damaged the lid lock assembly, part number PS17217010. The mechanism physically locks the door and contains a switch that signals the control board when the door is securely closed. If the switch is broken, the washer won't start or work properly. We hope this helps.

Noise, grinding sounds. Wash tub stopped turning but motor and cycles kept functioning. Process of elimination, must be the clutch assembly.
Easy, just followed the repair video. Recommend also ordering the drive belt. Bought one locally during my repair.

Tab on door strike got broken off and washer would not operate without it.
Pushed in on door strike and rotated it counterclockwise, removed broken strike and installed new strike. NOTE: when removing the old strike (turning counterclockwise) it felt like it might break and/or was attached with an screw that I didn't see but it came right out.
