Washer makes a loud screeching noise when it starts up and sometimes when it goes into the spin cycle. Wondering if it's belt. If so which belt would I need to replace? Would like to have it when we investigate the issue incase it needs replaced.

there seems tto be a gap inside my washer now between the top and the drum about 3-4 inches that was never there before and now my washer makes a squealing noise at start up and during spin cycle. could it be a belt or the suspension?

Noise, grinding sounds. Wash tub stopped turning but motor and cycles kept functioning. Process of elimination, must be the clutch assembly.
Easy, just followed the repair video. Recommend also ordering the drive belt. Bought one locally during my repair.

Tab on door strike got broken off and washer would not operate without it.
Pushed in on door strike and rotated it counterclockwise, removed broken strike and installed new strike. NOTE: when removing the old strike (turning counterclockwise) it felt like it might break and/or was attached with an screw that I didn't see but it came right out.

Broken lid catch/strike
Rotate the broken piece counter clockwise in the socket in the lid to release it. Install the new one in a clockwise rotation.
