What is the purpose of this part? It is described as a filter but it is an electronic part, so what is it's purpose/how does it function?? My Maytag will not drain water and I get a "drain line blocked code". I've inspected the drain lines and pump and there is no blockage. Is this filter somehow related to the drain system??
