This clutch slider kit is part of the transmission system in select washing machines, helping control the movement and speed of the agitator during wash and spin cycles. The kit includes a clutch band, slider, and lock ring, and allows the machine to start, stop, and shift speeds smoothly. If worn or damaged, it can cause issues like noisy operation, difficulty spinning, or failure to start properly. Replacing the kit restores proper function and helps maintain efficient performance.

Popping the breaker
The washer was popping the GFI receptacle..The gear case seal was out. The bearing started to make a noise, and it was leaking. On the stator. It caused it to pop. I ordered the parts. I had two removed the bolt on the agitator.. Remove the gear case and unplug the wires to it from underneath. I then removed the stator. Installed the stander on the new gear case and started to put it back together. I made sure I put some antiseize on it when I put it together. It was a little hard to take it apart.

During the wash cycle, I hear a squeak noise come from the drum area. When the drum is at low speed cycle, agitating, the squeak varies in sound. It is definitely a rubber sound squeak, not a metal to metal squeak. I was researching this site to evaluate the assembly and maybe see if it has a belt drive system. Being it’s a direct drive, I’m now looking elsewhere in the parts assembly for a possible solution. If you any more information, please ask.
For model number MVW7230HW0

in spin cycle sounds like a airplane going to take off
For model number mvwb835dw1
Hello Tom, thank you for your question. Our recommendation is replacing the Gearcase PS12741641 or Slider PS10060062. This drum shaft assembly is for washers. Drum shaft assembly connects the spin basket to the drive motor to spin the basket. The slider kit helps to regulate the speed and direction of the agitator or drum. It allows the machine to start and stop spinning smoothly, as well as change speeds as needed during the wash and spin cycles. We hope this helps.
My washer will spin without issue however when it tries to agitate the washer makes a very loud noise like a grinding alarm sound
For model number MVWB835DW4
Hello Ryan, thank you for reaching out. A loud grinding noise during the agitation cycle in your washer could be caused by several issues. Here are some potential causes and solutions:
1. Loose or Damaged Parts: Check for any loose or damaged parts within the washer, such as the wash plate or agitator. Tighten or replace any parts that are not secure.
2. Foreign Objects: Sometimes, foreign objects like coins or small items can get stuck in the washer drum or pump, causing noise. Inspect the drum and remove any objects that may be causing the issue.
If the issue persists even after checking these steps, then the transmission, part number PS12741641, could be at fault and may need to be replaced. Glad to be of assistance!
Will this stop the grinding noise during agitation mode only
For model number wtw7500gw2
Hi Patty, thank you for reaching out. Yes, the clutch kit, part number PS10060062, you have mentioned can stop the grinding noise during agitation.
