Seems this is a common failure with these microwaves, tripping the breaker. This item is only 3 years old but the replacement parts a still very expensive. How does one troubleshoot this failure? My first thought is the High Voltage Capacitor but at $80 which seems ridiculous for a capacitor, I do not want to purchase that item and not have it work.
For model number FGMV176NTF
Hello Jon, Thank you for the question. This is normally caused by a defective Door Switch. We suggest checking the Switches to make sure they are seated properly and check the continuity with a Multimeter. A defective switch can cause a surge that trips the Breaker. We hope this helps!
