This washer drive motor powers the agitation and spin functions of a top-load washing machine, helping move the agitator and spin the basket during each cycle. A faulty motor may cause the washer not to spin, run noisily, or produce a burning smell. Replacing a worn or failed drive motor can restore proper movement, quieter operation, and reliable washing performance.

Can I replace just the pulley? The motor runs fine.
For model number CAW9444BW0
Hi Ron,
Thank you for the question. Checking the model number I am showing the pulley is only sold as part of the motor, in order to receive the pulley the full motor will need to be ordered.
Good luck with the repair !

Hello Pietro, thank you for your question. The most common cause of that loud grinding noise is the PartSelect Number PS10057144 Washer Drive Pulley and clutch assembly. Take a look at the video online on how to access that area and for other helpful tips on that part! I hope this helps!

Will not spin or agitate what could it be
For model number WTW4800BQ0
Hello Kenny, thank you for contacting us. Based on the description that you have provided, we would recommend checking the drive belt, part number PS11747978, to solve the problem. A broken drive belt can most probably cause the washer to not stop or agitate. We hope this helps!
My washer sounds like a plane taking off when spinning and is extremely loud. Is this a bearing in the motor or something else?
For model number WTW4800XQ4
Hi Brandon, thank you for contacting us. The issue seems to be with the bearings, not the motor. They come attached to the gear case, part number PS16220913. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope this sorts out your problem!
