The flapper door broke
I followed the directions from the YouTube video, which were spot on correct! Loved it. No problems. I did have to wind the spring one more turn than it showed on the video, but that was easy to figure out. No problems!

The actuator for dispensing water and ice was sticking, splaying water and ice freely all over our hardwood floors..
I watched a 5-minute video of a man removing the door hinge, the face plate, the other connections down to the actuator itself. I called Emerald and talked to Ron Harrigan (Fresno CA). He pointed me to the video and said it was a simply operation. I followed the instruction step by step, but when I finished, the light in the front of the door would not come on and the dispenser would put out water but not ice. I called Ron again. He said, "Go through the process again, step by step." When I got to step two, I saw that I had not securely fastened two electrical joints together. I snapped those babies into place, and it was all downhill! We have ice. We have water. We have an actuator that sings! Thanks, video. Thanks, Ron.

Water not being supplied to ice maker
Very simple. Viewed the video that was linked to the web-page and followed the instructions. Longest part of the process was removing and re-attaching the cover on the back of the refrigerator. The video can do more to describe the repair than my words.

water would dispense at the door when the ice maker refilled
I shut the water valve and bled the pressure off by using the water dispenser. Removed the four screws that hold the cardboard backing on the unit. Unplugged the power cord, loosened the metal water supply fitting. Then I removed all three hose fittings and dried the drips with a towel. I pushed the electrical plugs off with a flat blade screw driver. Removed the bracket attachment screw and pulled the double valve out. The new valves came with a push-lock fitting for the plastic hoses so I pushed them into their sockets. Put the new valve in and replaced the attachment screw. Reattached the water supply line and the electrical connectors. I turned the water on and checked for leaks. replaced the cardboard backing, and plugged the power cord back in.

Old actuator pad sticking for ice and water
Unplugged refrigerator 1st to avoid shocks. Took off the front/outside panel of freezer door at ice/water dispenser (6 screws) and disconnected the single electronics plug-in .Pulled off old rubber covered actuator and replaced with new one. Easy. Would recommend cleaning contacts prior to replacing cover. Works like a charm now! Thx. DB
