Icemaker door flap bracket broke
The home service repair through our utility company checked the refridgerator and then looked for parts. Their conclusion is the part was no longer available and we should "just reach into the icemaker when we want ice until we replace the refridgerator.) The refridgerator is a top of the line model and replacement cost is well over $2,000 so that wasn't a good option. So I checked PartSelect and found the part which I received in 3 days, installed it in a few minutes and we're back in operation!

Flap on ice dispenser was broken
We put all the new parts in that came with this kit including the Solenoid. It was super easy. I have a home warranty which covered the refrigerator ice maker, however, it would have cost me $75 just to bring out a repairman and then it would have taken up my time to be around when he wanted to come out. Buying this part and doing the job ourself cost me less money AND time.

When pad was depressed it would either not activate or it would not shut off and I would have to open door to stop the ice flow
First of all, I am a woman and I don't have a lot of tools but I do like to try to fix things on my own before shelling out $ for a professional repair. I found and followed their YouTube video to fix the fridge. To begin with (before I even ordered the part) I needed to find out if it could be something other than the actuator pad that needed to be replaced so I took everything apart (pretty easy) and checked to make sure that the 'Limit switch' was clicking and able to be depressed by the tip of the actuator pad (the actuator pads connects with the Limit Switch which activates the ice flow). It did click. So I figured the Limit Switch was not the problem so I put everything back together and ordered the actuator pad. When it arrived I was already a pro at knowing what needed to be done. I had it replaced in about 15 minutes and its working great!! Thank you so much for your videos on You Tube. I wouldn't have known what to do. You saved me a bundle of money!! Blessings to you all. The door to the ice dispenser broke off
When calling to see what the repair would cost my prices ranged from 250.00 to 175.00 with parts and labor. But I decided to tackle this project myself after watching the installation video. My parts arrived quickly and I watched the video had my repair completed within 30min and saved myself over 100.00 dollars. Thank you PartSelect!! The step by step instructions made this project a breeze.

Plastic tip broke off the insulated flap. Would not seal against icemaker.
Removed two screws from face plate then nudged plate up until it cleared the two top screws. Removed three screws holding the actual kit in place. Gently pulled the unit forward and pulled the water tube out from above the kit, then disconnected the wires connecting the unit. At this time the unit is separated from the refrigerator and you can disconnect the solenoid to remove it. The plunger in the solenoid was a little different from the old one as it connects to the insulator flap bar but Partselect has made a good/easy modification for replacement. Before installation I recommend lubricating the plastic actuator switch. Reverse the procedures you used to access the unit. Very easy.

Small Ice Cubes and hardly any Water at Dispensor
After Watching the Video, this Job was very easy. I moved the Refridgerator away from the Wall, disconnected Power, shut-off water shut-off valve, unscrewed Water Line and caught water in a small pan. Loosened up 1 screw and removed valve, unplugged 2 electrical connections and bottom water line. I cut-off an inch of line and reinstalled the valve in reverse order. Plugged Refridgerator back in and instantly had water at Dispensor. Now the ice-cubes are normal size. Thank-you PartSelect.

ice maker not working.
ordered this part first thinking it was the water line issue. we fixed it and it was not that hard but it did not solve the problem. We ended up ordering the icemaker part and installed it and it works fine now. I should have ordered the inside part first and then the valve but it is new now.

No water for the ice maker
The only part I needed was the Valve assembly. I checked for frost and found none. I took out the Ice Maker and found it was in poor condition but working. I did put in a new one but with the same problem. I finally read the comments from your costumers and found one place that told about a leaky water valve that was letting water drip into the ice maker so slowly it froze and blocked the valve. So I put in a new valve and thawed the pipe and allis well. What made this job so easy was the costumers comments and the best was the one day delivery of the parts. Thank you for all your help.

I had trouble finding the right screw drivers
I took my computer down to the kitchen and went play by play with the video of the man doing the repair on the same exact refrigerator that I have. That was the part that was easy because it was explained very well and you could see what he was doing. My only problem was finding the right tools to use.

Ice maker not producing ice & ice door not closing
After receiving the parts to repair the ice door, I replaced the solenoid and new chute door without problem. Then a problem I had been experiencing for well over a year, re-emerged. No Ice! I realized the icemaker was old, over 12 years and that the Teflon within the wells as well as the contacts for the timer were well worn. The ease of finding parts and the instructions provided by PartSelect, (written, video and users), I would attempt the replacement of the Ice Maker. When I examined the Freezer, I also identified that the Ice Maker shelf and enclosure (where the auger that drives the ice) was broken and barely hanging in place. I quickly identified the additional parts and ordered them. The total repair took about 60 minutes. and was treated to the sound of ice dropping into the bin by early evening. I am very pleased with the service, the quality of the products and the helpful hints from fellow users. I have added PartSelect to my IE favorites and it will be my first stop when I need repairs for any of my appliances.
