FFHS2611PFEA Frigidaire Refrigerator - Instructions

Frig area was at about 50 degrees and would not get cooler. Freezer was working great.
Empty the freezer and remove the two screws that hold the back panel of the inside of the freezer on. Pull the panel out and you will see the fan that is mounted to the back of the panel. If the fan is not running, disconnect it (quick connector) and check to see if there is voltage coming to it from the connector (should be 120VAC between the two wires). If there is power, and the fan was not working, replace the fan.

Fan just snaps into the holder on the back panel and plugs into the quick connector. Make sure you clear any ice build-up in the hole between the freezer and the frig that the fans blows through. Put it back together and verify the fan runs.

Unpluged the item. Turned off the water source. Removed the card board cover. Dis-connected the water hoses. Unpluged the connetors. Matched up the colores and put it back together, very easy. Everythings was color coded.

I shut off the water supply and removed the 4 screws from the cardboard back revealing the water valve. I removed the 2 screws which attach the valve to the refrigerator and removed the water valve. Once out it was a snap to unplug the electrical leads and unscrewed the water lines, Insalling the new part was a matter of reversing the above procedure. Everything is color coded which made this replacement extrememly simple.

I will definitely use you guys in the future. The ordering process was great and delivery time was ultra quick!

most importantly on the page with the necessary part..cripser support for the refrigerator--- there was a brief insructional video on how to properly dislodge the broken part and replace it with the new showing the simple tools needed. I am not handy at all but it took me all of two minutes thanks to the helpful video.

- Unsnapped old light socket from top of Frig
- Disconnected elect wires
- Reconnected elect wires to new light socket
- Snapped new socket in place
- Done in less than 2 min.

Easy repair, except the re-install of the entire water/ice part back into the door. The original plastic water line too short to fit back into the small opening. Hint: Go buy 10 inch of new water line and a small connector. Run the new line up through the small opening, and connect to the original water line with the small connector. This made it easy to replace and test, and then cut of the excess water line.

Replacement of bins were simple the crisper cover supports were a little more time consuming since the manufactured piece were glued in. I used a tool that has a 30% tip and hooked the support and pulled in out part of the way and pulled the rest out with my fingers. All in all a simple job...I took the opportunity to do an addition cleaning of the inside of fridge with my extra time. Would also like to say that my parts were delivered within 24 hours of ordering them and the website made purchasing easy and no second guessing, since the model had an exploded version of all the parts available. Most of the time was spent removing frozen food and removing the plastic clip holding one of the shelves in place. Removal of bottom panel took less than a minute. Thermostat easy to find, clipped wires a the unit and removed unit. Used included wire jackets, but not white shrink wrap. This did NOT fix the problem. This was the attempt at a 'cheap' fix. My refrigerator required the 'control box' to be replaced.

1.Got on line to Partselect ordered the parts we needed .they arrived Quickly and in good condition 2.Except the tray was sent in error delaying the repair. 3.contacted Partselect costumer services for assistance 4.Followed their direction and reorder the correct one hoping the correct one would arrive .it did the next day .5.On to repair, removed broken stud with panel stud puller with the aide of a putty knife to spread the pressure of tool stud came out 6.reinserted new stud 7.replaced the new upper crisper drawer cover glass not included . 8.Upper Crisper pan to complete the repair. 9.all in all successful with the help of Partselect superior parts and helpful guides.

Simply slid glass into frame & it fit perfectly.

The shelving brackets are install much like a blind rivet. I simply used a punch and gently pushed in the plastic center pin / mandrel. I then used a butter knife as a wedge to pull out the shelving supports enough to grab them with a pair of pliers. Simple to do!

The 4 lines attached to water valve have compression fittings.New valve has pex fittings.I cut each line just behind the ferrel and inserted each line into the proper fitting and reattached the 3 electrical plugs.Turned water back on.I immediately got water from thr door without dripping.For whatever reason it was not making ice for the first 3 days,I pulled the plug on the icemaker solenoid and reattached.It is working now.

First of all Don't panic! you can do it and you can save a lot of $$$ if you do it yourself. A friend advice me to look it up online resources and came accross part select on YouTube .

The process:
Defrost the fridge. Take down the panels on the fridge to have room to unscrew the back panels. Once you've taken the back panel out. You will see the thermostat right away. Replace it and voila you're done.

First of all, I ordered in the afternoon and the part was on my doorstep the very next day, amazing shipping. I shopped all over and this was the best price by a few dollars. I hope I never need any other parts, but if I do, I will come back to buy my parts here.

I pried the old cover off with a pocket knife and carefully installed the new one. Now it looks great and it only took me about 5 minutes.
