The motor that pushes ice forward out the ice-maker door had broken free from its plastic mounting
Went very quickly. The biggest problem was manipulating all the frozen packages such that I could reach mounting screws. In the future, I'd be prepared with a cooler to place the frozen goods during the repair time, which required the freezer door be wide open throughout the repair.

Ice maker wouldn't dispense through the door
Remove bolt on lower left side that locates the Ice Enclosure. Partially remove Ice Enclosure. Locate electrical connector behind Ice Enclosure. Squeeze locking tabs and wiggle connector free. Completely remove Ice Enclosure and place on work surface. Remove phillips head screws that attach motor to Ice Enclosure. Remove phillips head screws that attach solenoid to Ice Enclosure. Grasp motor shaft with pliers to hold it still. Wedge screw driver handle into motor yoke to gain additional leverage as you turn yoke clockwise (reverse thread) to remove yoke from motor shaft. Keep track of spacer bushing that will fall from motor shaft when yoke is removed. Attach motor and solenoid to new Ice Enclosure. Replace bushing and yoke onto motor shaft. Reassemble Ice Enclosure into freezer compartment. Don't forget to plug harness back in and to replace locating bolt on left side of Ice Enclosure.

It was time to change the water filter.
All work was done by hand. I removed the cover plate, unscrewed the existing water filter and screwed in the new one. I returned the cover plate to its original position and bled the air out of the line by running the water dispenser for a few minutes. It could no have been easier.

Back of ice enclosure broke out
The difficult part of the repair was the removal of the auger nut so that the motor shaft could be slipped through the enclosure. My son finally removed the front of the motor allowing him to get a better grip and thereby remove the auger nut. Once that was done the actual replacing of the enclosure was easy. The two portions of the motor and the accompaning soleniod fit well and were easily screwed in. The motor was then connected to the opening on the back wall and all was well.
