Bought a new house last fall. Jenn-Air range had two element cooktop with two element grill. Oven went out and while service man was here, I asked him to check on the price of another two heater element panel to replace the grill. He subsequently called to say the part I wanted was not available. I immediately got on the internet and did a search. Found it "ships same day" for what I thought was a very reasonable price at PartSelect. Unplugged the grill and plugged in the cooking plate. We now have four usable "burners" instead of two. Replaced burners on stove to glass type top
Removed old ones and plugged in new ones.
One of my new burners went bad about 6 months later and it was so easy to get a new one sent to me, at no cost even though the price of the burners went up. I received replacement within 2 days. Great service and my salesperson was great!!!!!!

Burners on one side of cook top no longer worked
I ordered replacement burner cartridge. Pulled out non-functional burner cartridge and installed new cartridge. They are plug in units so no tools were needed and it only took about 15 seconds. Took longer to get cartridge out of shipping container than it did to install it.
New black unit looks different than 15 year old unit but works better and looks better. Black granite appearance is more modern looking.
I should add that the old unit had been in place for approximately 15 years. It didn't come out when I first was trying to remove it to get model number and serial number from it. Once the old rust and corrosion was overcome it removed and reinstalled as easy as any electical plug in a wall outlet.

I lifted the old old cartridge on one end and slid it out. Then I shoved new cartridge in place, tried the burners. Perfect! Saved me from getting a entire new cooktop. Would recommend PartSelect to anyone looking to repair an old stove.

The original grill didn't work well, and I needed 4 eyes to cook on. I received the new module quickly, and had it installled in 20 seconds. Immediate heat and good looks. It really transfors this old range!! Thanks!!

My range has a 2-burner black ceramic/glass cooktop on the right side, and a grill & grates on the left. I rarely used the grill and would like to replace it with a 2nd 2-burner cooktop. Can i do that by simply ordering a "replacement" cooktop and plugging it in, in place of the grill?

Hi Peter, Thank you for the question. As long as your appliance or the old cartridge has a 3 flat one round prong plug in and is on the short side of the cartridge, this Black Radiant Element Cartridge will fit. Hope this helps!

This is going to sound like a stupid question, but do both sides of the cooktop plug in? The glass is broken on one side, but burners are fine. The grill on the other side is fine. Thanks for your help.

Hi folks !The radiant cartridge in this stove is dysfunctional. I contacted our local dealer and was informed that the radiant tops were discontinued. I see it is still listed as in stock on the website! Is there something i should know? Thank you for your time and help in this matter

I am looking for an other set of burner for my range. Have not located the model number but it has to be at least 17 to 20 years old. Was wandering if you have any old stock or even used? I think at this point i will just buy a new rang if i can not get a cheap set of burner inserts.Thank you,

Is this a complete cartridge? I just plug it in? Or do i need to disassemble the present cartridge and assemble this to it before plugging in?

This is the model number from the owners manual. On the unit itself it says jea8120 designer series then has some other numbers. The current one has four prongs, three flat and one round. My question concerns color. My current cartridge is black with grey sprinkles it is not just flat black. So I'm confused. My manual says white or black but mine has the spots. I need these to match. Can you help?

One of the prongs broke off my element where you plug into the cooktop. Can this part be replaced or do I need to purchase a completely new cartridge? Also, what is the difference between haolgen and radiant? Thank you

Thanks for your question. Radiant cooktops are easier to clean with burners with as they are flat. Food cannot spill under the burners, and pots and pans sit on the burners in a flat fashion. Halogen cooktops work with halogen bulbs. They are similar to radiant cooktops, but also have hot-surface indicators to alert a person of hot surfaces. The cartridge spade is part number PS1988157.
