A metal zipper got caught in the dryer drum and the dryer would not spin. I took off the front bottom panel and found the zipper and the insulator. Can this be repaired?
For model number GLEQ2152ES1
Hi Bill,
Thank you for your question. You should be able to repair it. If you see anything broken in your appliance then you would just replace that part. Good luck with your repair.

What is the function of this part? My dryer spins and drys but it won't heat up. Is this what I need to replace?
For model number FFLE3911QW0
Hi Betzaida, thank you for the question. If your dryer spins and dries but does not heat up, the issue might not be directly related to the heating element insulator itself. The heating element insulator is typically used to support and insulate the heating element, preventing it from coming into contact with the metal parts of the dryer. We would suggest you checking the control thermistor, part number PS1149368. It controls the temperature of the inside of the dryer drum and prevents the dryer from overheating. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope this solves your problem!
