Great part, difficult repair
The part was perfect, so I'm completely satisfied with partselect's job. The install however, is quite difficult. That's LG's fault. There are videos online which help, but without the proper spring tool, I found the install extremely challenging (many hours of frustration, but ultimately a success).

Easy repair
Watched couple videos on replacing door seal and worked good to switch it out! A spring tool would make job easier otherwise just use a vise grip and pull hard, definitely soap the spring band around the boot so the band comes together better otherwise will grab the rubber tighter when trying to connect again

Replaced the washer door gasket
Followed the videos on line. However instead of buying the $75 spring expansion tool I used two zip ties. One at each end of the spring to create loops for my index fingers to pull the spring apart. Needed a second person to help hold the ring in place at 3&9 position.

Moldy smell inside, door boot seal showed signs of mold
Watched several YouTube DIY videos and followed the step by step directions. I also disconnected several other hoses and cleaned them out. Since I live in an hard-water area, deep cleaning may become a 6- month preventative maintenance routine.

Washer leaking out front door. I purchased the door seal 2 days ago. Anything else cause the door to leak? Thank you
For model number WM3760HVA
Hi David, thank you for contacting us. Make sure your door boot seal is clean. Wipe it down with a damp cloth to remove any dirt or debris. If the problem persists, you may need door boot spring, part number PS3524029, along with it. It is used to secure the door boot seal. If the door boot spring is broken or missing, the door boot seal can become dislodged and allow water to leak out through the closed door during operation. We hope this helps!

What do you suggest if my washer is currently stacked with the dryer? I'm assuming in order to replace this part, I will have to unstack the units... is that true? Thank you for the help.
For model number WM3050CW
Hello Kelli, Thank you for writing. You should be able to remove the Front Panel to access the Boot Seal to replace it. You shouldn't need to unstack the dryer to do so. We hope this helps!
