Knocking noise in washer. Bearings and shocks have been replaced for a different reason. All was good for 3 weeks, now this knocking sound when tub is spun manually or in the regular cycle. Knocks whether there are clothes in the tub or not.Is it possible the rotor assembly or stator are causing this noise. i do have a video of the noise if you need to hear.

Hi Donette,
Thank you for your question. If your washer is making a knocking sound and you have already replaced the bearings and the shocks, there are some other parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the rotor, stator and the pump. We hope this helps! Good luck with the repair!

Hi Alfred,
Thank you for your question. The OE error code indicates that the washer has not drained for 10 minutes. If you have replaced the drain pump and the code still appears, the issue is likely a clogged filter or coin trap and you will need clean it. If you have any questions, please let us know. We are open 7 days a week. We look forward to hearing from you!

How common is the failure of the rotor or stator? Do you replace both or one? The drum does not spin but the door is locking and I can hear the stator making noise but the drum does not turn. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

Hello Raul, thank you for contacting us. The rotor failure problem is a commonly reported issue because its windings are susceptible to burns. We would recommend checking the drain system and making sure the drain pump is good. If drainage is good, replacing the rotor, part number PS3532774, is the most probable solution. Customer service is always available to help you place an order if you are having trouble doing so. Good luck with your repair.
Removed the top of the washer by removing the 4 back screws and 2 small brackets. Then I removed the front panel, this was actually the hardest part, 2 screws and 8 tabs that you pop out carefully from the top of the panel. I only disconnected the power button and was able to rest the panel on top of the washer. The rest of the washer came apart quickly just moving down the front of the washer and removing the door, latch, tub gasket, drain cover. Removing the pump was just a mater of disconnecting the drain hoses, and one clip under the drain assembly. 3 screws attach the drain to assembly to the pump and only 2 wires that are clearly marked. Reassembly is just going back through in reverse order of disassenbly. The best thing about this is that it all comes apart with a standard phillips screwdriver.
Pull washer away from wall. Unplug cord and remove drain hose from receptacle. Remove 4 screws holding panel to rear of washer. Squeeze and slide back hose clamps on each end of drain hose and loosen center clamp with screwdriver. Remove old hose. Reinstall new hose in reverse order using existing clamps. Re-install back panel.
