Ice Maker stopped working
With socket wrench un-screwed the 3 screws and pulled out the ice maker assembly.
Pulled off white plastic end-cap and noticed the plastic gear disk had snapped off (sub part # R0167202)
However, it is all-one-part of the motor assembly unit # w10190935 (part # PS2341896) which must be ordered as a complete part.
Unscrewed the motor assembly (3 screws) with phillips head screw driver.
Screwed in the new unit.
Placed ice maker back into location and tightend the bacing srews.
1 hour later ice was falling!

Icemaker made a clicking noise then quit making ice
Motor from Part Select was 185W instead of 260W that came out of unit. After a bit of searching online, I found out the 260W had been obsoleted for lack of torque when harvesting ice.
Removal instructions: Unplugged fridge. Then I removed the screw on the bottom right rear of the unit. Then removed the plastic cover that covered the power connector. Pulled out the icemaker by pushing in the tab on the bottom left middle of the icemaker unit and pulling unit toward me. Unplugged the connector on the back right hand side. Removed the cover on the left side covering motor. Took out 3 philips screws and removed old motor with broken axle that spun freely (the source of the clicking noise). Put new motor in aligning harvest arm (the thing with the fingers) and did reverse of removal. Then plugged fridge back in and it started a harvest and the next morning I had a half tub of ice.

Ice maker just stopped working..
Did the diagnostics with the blinking light and couldn't decide what was bad....so ordered the control boards and the module motor assm. also. Turned out that it was the control boards and would suggest that future customers order that part first...if it isn't that then get the module and motor assm......these guys ship really fast and the prices are literally half of what Sears would charge, not to also mention the cost of their service man to walk through your door...OUCH!

Ice-maker Stopped Working
No water going into the ice tray. I unplugged the water valve solenoid at the bottom of the refrigerator in the back left corner, checked continuity on both. All showed resistance across the contacts so I believed the water inlet valves were at least not blown. The only other electronic component of the ice maker is the control board with the motor and then the thermostat. I purchased both. Also, make sure you buy the Aluminastic cement. It is the thermal contact point between the face of the thermostat and the ice tray. Expensive as heck, but unfortunately necessary. PartSelect should offer a very small tube for a small cost rather than a huge tube that you will never use for $27. Anyway, I put both the control board and thermostat in and an hour later was making ice again. Total cost was just over $100 for everything including shipping. I must say that PartSelect delivers fast and everything was exactly what I ordered, so the service is excellent and the website is excellent.

Ice maker not initiating harvest cycle (not making ice)
My troubleshooting narrowed down the problem to either the control assembly or the thermostat, so I bought both just in case. The motor assembly fixed the problem and I didn't need to install the thermostat.
The main thing I want to tell others who are doing this repair, however, relates to the thermostat. If you do indeed need to replace the thermostat (#PS380941) there is something you will need that is not included with the part or mentioned anywhere on this site. The instructions with the thermostat indicate you need to apply something called "Aluminastic" to the thermostat when installing it. I don't know about you, but that isn't something I have around the house, so be sure to order a tube of it when you get the thermostat so you don't have to take a trip to the store to get it to finish the repair.

No Ice, Water did not fill icemaker
We weren't sure if the problem was in the Water Inlet Valve or in the Icemaker Control & Motor Assembly. The water in the door did work. We removed the Water Inlet Valve & tested it with an Ohm Meter. It tested good so we put it back in. We then ordered the Icemaker Control & Motor Assembly. When it arrived we installed it and waited a few hours but the icemaker still did not fill with water. We telephoned a parts store and were told the problem could be the thermostat or we could replace the whole icemaker. We replaced the whole icemaker.

Ice maker quit making ice
I removed the ice maker which required removing 3 screws and then disconnecting the electrical plug. Once the ice maker was out, I removed the 3 screws that held the motor assembly to the unit.
I removed the motor, replacing it with the new one.
Plugged the power supply cord back in, replaced the unit with the 3 screws and within a few minutes the unit was receiving water and by the next day I had ICE. This saved me $50. for the service call, then another $25.00 installation fee when the part came in (had to be ordered) plus the markup on the motor (approx. $25.00) So I saved approx. $100. and only took about 30 min.

Ice was being made, but wouldn't drop
My icemaker wouldn’t pop out the ice. I bought a used fridge from 2nd Time Around in Russellville AR which was the most horrible customer service experience of my life. They were supposed to have a 60 day warranty but didn’t follow through. After months of begging them, and knowing what part I needed, I just ordered it myself. It was so easy and quick and fixed my issue my husband said we should have done that months ago and avoided the hassle. It was worth the money to have the peace of mind. Now everything is perfect! All we had to do was remove the icemaker, take off the side with a screwdriver, replace the part and slide it back in. We had ice in hours! Shipping was quick (a couple days) the part was 30 dollars cheaper than other places I checked. We love it!

My freezer is not making ice. How do I know what the problem is.
For model number gz25fsrxyyo
Hi Bruce,
Thank you for the question. I would first check to see if the ice maker is getting water. If no water is entering the ice maker it could be the water valve. You can take a glass of water (enough to fill the ice maker tray) and pour it into the ice maker and wait to see if it makes ice. If no ice is made then you have a problem with the ice maker. If it does make ice then the valve might not be opening up and sending water to the ice maker.
You can also check the water filter. Make sure it has been replaced within the last 6 months. If it becomes clogged or old it can prevent the ice maker from making ice.
Hope this helps!

Ice maker not making ice. I replaced the water valve but still not working. Is there a way i can test the ice maker assembly with a multimeter. I would really like to know exactly what to get and not waste money on unnecessary parts
For model number KSRB25FNSS00
Hi Chris,
Thank you for your question. You cannot use a multi meter unfortunately you would need to have a small piece of insulated wire to test your ice maker. When you remove the ice maker cover that covers the motor, there are two holes at the bottom right hand side of the white wheel on your motor. They are labeled T and H. Place the insulated wire into those two holes and make sure your ice maker is on. If your motor wheel does not start to turn to make ice and bring up your water, then your ice maker is broken and needs to be replaced. Be very careful doing something like this and make sure that you use an insulated wire so that you do not get an electric shock. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

No ice in maker-no water in ice tray-door water dispenser works.
For model number KSRB25FHSS04
Hello Bill, thank you for your question. First I would check to see if the ice maker will make ice if you manually fill it. You can take a glass of water (enough to fill the ice maker tray) and pour it into the ice maker. If no ice is made then you have a problem with the ice maker. If it does finish the cycle and dump the ice into the bucket, then the issue might be the valve. The valve might not be opening up and sending water to the ice maker. You can also check the water filter. Make sure it has been replaced within the last 6 months. If it becomes clogged or old it can prevent the ice maker from making ice. Hope this helps!

Ice maker not dispensing ice. Heard water running to ice maker.Checked later and found that water had dripped down from ice tray onto lower shelves and freezer door. Water is frozen on door and icicles formed on the edges of lower shelf. Could this be a faulty ice ejector motor? Thanks
For model number KSCS25INBL01
Hi Carl, Thank you for the question. It sounds like the ice maker is over filling. This normally means the Water Inlet Valve is not closing properly. You can pour a cup of water into the ice maker and see if it makes ice. If the ice maker works when filling it manually and the water pressure is good going to the appliance, I suggest replacing the water valve. Hope this helps!

My icemaker is overfilling the water. Is there an adjustment for the cube size on the icemaker?
For model number MFF2558VEM10
Hello Pete,
Thanks for your question. The icemaker control assembly affects the size of the ice cubes. There is a plastic screw for the water level adjustment on the right side when you look at the icemaker. Adjust it to adjust the flow of water to the icemaker.
I hope this helps.

Ice maker control light flashing red, no ice, water works, filter has been replaced, frig was emptied for 24 hours.
For model number KSRP25FNSS00
HI Joe, Thank you for the question. I suggest testing the emitter and receiver boards. To test the board you need to open the freezer door and look at the status LED on the right hand side. Make sure the ice maker control is turned “ON”. The status LED should blink twice, pause, and then repeat, blink blink…. pause, blink blink… pause.Next with the freezer door open, hold down the flapper door on the left side to unblock the optics beam. With the optics unblocked, the LED should light up and stay lit with no blinking. If the status LED continues to blink twice , then you have defective optic boards and they will need to be replaced. If there is no LED light on, then the ice maker could be in “harvest” mode. Hold down the freezer light switch, the status LED should flash every second while in harvest mode. If the LED light still does not flash, then the optic control boards will need to be replaced. Hope this helps!

Ice-maker occasionally leaks water inside the freezer along side the ice-maker, and creates solid ice running down the freezer (near the door). Also it stops producing ice and due to an ice cube being stuck in the ice-maker, or frozen ice in the black tube which handles the water.
For model number GD2SHAXNT00
Hello Peter, Thank you for your inquiry. We would recommend checking the following parts to fix your issue: the water inlet valve, the defrost heater, the defrost thermostat, the thermistor, the ice maker control assembly, and the thermostats. You can test the parts with a multimeter. If you are unfamiliar with how a multimeter functions, there are YouTube videos available to assist you. Hope this helps!

Icemaker not making ice i have water to the water dispenser no water to the icemaker. I replace the water filter. I came in and the floor was covered with water but no water comes into the icemaker .
For model number KSRB22FHSS02
Hello Dave, Thank you for your inquiry. We would advised checking the tubing going from the water inlet valve to the icemaker and the and the ice maker water fill tube to see if it is frozen, clogged or cracked. You can also test the ice maker to see if it is functioning properly. To do so, cut a 6- to 8-inch length of 14-gauge solid electrical wire. Use a pair of wire strippers to remove about 1/2 inch of the electrical insulation from each end of the wire. Grab the square cover on the front of your ice maker inside your freezer with your hand. Rock the cover back and forth as you wiggle it away from the front of the ice maker to expose the round gear beneath it. Find two small, round openings marked “H” and “T” beneath the gear. Insert the bare ends of the electrical wire into the openings, so one end of the wire is in one opening and the opposite end is in the other. The wire overrides the timer and manually activates the ice maker. Hope this helps!

The ice marker is over filling, leaving icicle on both ends. I replaced the water valve but still having same problem. Do i need to replace the unit control ?
For model number ED25DQXAN00
Hi Marvin,
Thank you for your question. If the water pressure is too low, the valve may not close fully when the power is shut off. This will cause the valve leaks water into the ice maker, causing it to overflow. You will need to check the water pressure. The valve requires a minimum of 20 psi to work properly. You will need to also check the ice maker to see if it is working properly as it may be defective. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!
