Is this a common failure part? I put 12vots to the terminals in every possible positive and negative combination and the motor wouldn't turn.
I am getting a lot of ice buildup around the bottom of the evaporator, is this a symptom of the damper not working? The fan does run.

Hi Greg, thank you for reaching out. Based on our understanding, if the defrost system is not working properly, it can lead to ice buildup. Before replacing the damper, we would suggest checking the defrost heater, part number PS2340403. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope this sorts out your problem!
