Ice maker ceased filling with water. Fully defrosted due to ice buildup in fridge compartment. Filters changed. Ice maker reset. No blockage of water fill tube. Water flow to water dispenser. Is reasonable to think it is a malfunctioning ice maker, or should i further consider the pump in the rear?

Hello Clarence, Thank you for the question. We suggest checking the bucket is properly positioned directly under the icemaker and the Ice Maker Arm is operating normally. If the Bucket and Arm are good, you may have a defective Dispenser Control Board. We hope this helps!

Hi Kathleen,
Thank you for your question. If water is pooling at the bottom of the refrigerator, the drain is clogged and it will need to be cleaned. If the fresh food section of your refrigerator is too warm, there may be an issue with the evaporator fan motor. It is used to circulate the cold air from the freezer into the fresh food section. If the fan is not operating correctly, then temperatures in the freezer section will rise slowly and temperatures in the fresh food section will rise more rapidly. This will cause the compressor will run longer. Before inspecting the evaporator fan motor, unplug the refrigerator from the electrical outlet. Then turn the motor shaft to see if it turns with minimal resistance and see if it is damaged or if there is ice build up around the motor. If there is a lot of ice around the motor, you will need to defrost the refrigerator. If you are unable to turn the shaft, or if the motor is damaged, it will need to be replaced. We hope this helps!

The installation video notes that the door mullion spring has a bent end, and that the bent end of the spring is to be inserted into the LOWER hinge. However, on my refrigerator door, the bent end of the door mullion spring must be inserted into the UPPER hinge in order for the door to function properly. (Also noted that in your video the installer manually closed the door mullion rather than just closing the refrigerator door, another indication that the installation of the spring was incorrect.) After watching the video several times to confirm I was installing the door mullion spring according to the video instructions, I tried inserting the bent end of the door mullion spring into the upper hinge, which proved to be the correct installation of the door mull spring. What should have been a 5 minute repair turned into an ½ hour repair.
