ice will not dispense ice from storage bin to out the door. Auger does not turn
Replaced motor it was not issue. Now I am stuck with a $300 motor I cannot return. When I say will not dispense ice everyone thinks it does not make ice. Auger does not turn to push ice out the door. Reason I thought it was auger motor when you push lever on door the auger turns about one eight of a turn. So, it would seem it is getting signal and power. Don’t drop ice clean ice. In front of auger.tighten nut at end of auger makes noise like the auger is turning
For model number WRF555SDFZ11
Hi Bobby, thank you for getting in touch. Based on our understanding of the issue, we would suggest you replacing the ice auger motor, part number PS17216014. A motor that is failing internally may lack the torque to push ice and cause grinding, clicking, or humming noises when trying to dispense ice. We hope this solves your problem!
