I found this piece loose in the drain when the dishwasher flooded and AE error came on. What is it and where should it be?

Hello Leslie, thank you for contacting us. The part you mentioned is the tine clip, and it attaches to the lower dish-rack of your model. We have researched and found that the error code AE indicates that you have a leak inside your dishwasher. We would recommend checking the dishwasher for leaking or any damaged parts and replace them accordingly. If the issue still does not get resolved, then you may need to check the control board, part number PS16621815, to solve the problem. We hope this helps.
