Ice maker freezing over, causing ice to get stuck
Replaced parts, as ordered - very simple. Watched the video before hand. Found that existing assembly did not have the "Y" clip installed. Been making ice for three weeks with no freezing up (yet) - time will tell.
Plastic housing for ice maker cracked preventing the internal mechanism from moving/emptying ice cubes
Since the ice maker was no longer able to empty ice and the problem was a large crack in the plastic housing right near where the internal screw connects to maker (which we were unable to fix with something simple like tape) we simply had to swap out the whole ice maker. It was just the process of pulling the old one out and sliding the new one in.

Ice container assembly cracked
I simply removed the old container & carefully removed all built up ice from the area that was to house the new container. This site helped me find the correct container in minutes. Will definitely use them again.

Can i get just the plastic ice tray by itself? Everything works but the bucket has cracks and holes. I think the holes are causing the ice to melt and it refreezes and stops up the ice dispenser.

Ice basket is cracked at bottom. I believe this is causing for ice to form around maker, and when dispense ice, a small water splash before ice cubes drop, which are slightly melted. Also, cold water is not coming out as cold. Could part # 24 fix this?

The ice maker only produces crushed ice, even when we have it set to cubed ice. The rod on the removable ice bucket which dictates if its cubed or crushed rotates fine when manually pushed, but is clearly not responding to the sensor in the ice maker telling it to open (for cubed). I don't know if this is an issue with the ice bucket or the ice maker - and which is the right part for me to order as a replacement. Please let me know!

I have the following problem. Once a month the ice maker freezes and has a mass of ice and of course it stop making ice. I have to remove the ice that formed with a little hot water. After I do this it starts to make normal ice. However, every day there is a little water that comes out of the ice marker. I have seen that the ice bucket is cracked at bottom. Hello Eleazar, Thank you for the question. The Ice Bucket and Ice Maker are two separate parts so the Bucket should not effect the Ice Maker. This is normally an indication the Ice Maker is not dumping the cubes into the Bucket or the Ice Maker is over filling causing the cubes to create a block of ice and not able to dump.
