If your front-load washer is leaking or has a musty smell, the door boot seal might need replacing. This flexible rubber ring fits between the drum and the door, keeping water inside while your machine runs. It’s made to last and helps prevent leaks and mold buildup. You’ll need to unplug your washer before installing it, and it fits several Whirlpool, Maytag, and KitchenAid models. A fresh seal can make a big difference in keeping your laundry area dry and your washer running smoothly.

Can that rubber door boot be removed, cleaned around and put back in?
For model number MHW5500FW1
Hello Chris, Thank you for contacting us. It can be, you would just need to pull it out slightly, release the clamp with a flat blade screw driver and pull it out the rest of the way. It can be cleaned with a solution of hot soapy water. We have included a link to one of our videos to show you how to remove and install the door boot seal. We hope this helps.

I have a leak I can't find the origin. There is no water on the floor, just in the attached drawer under the washer unit. And there is no leakage sign under the washer. And no leakage from the drain and from the water source. Where could it be coming from? The front door?
For model number MHW5500FC1
Hi Denis,
Thank you for your question. If water is leaking from the washer, check the hoses attached to the pump to make sure that the clamps are fastened securely. Also, check the inlet hoses to make sure that they are fastened securely and inspect them for signs of cracks and any other damage. If there are no visible signs of damage, inspect the door gasket to see if it is damaged or worn. We hope this helps!
