Part came in a plastic air bubble bag. Not even in an anti-static bag. Prices are obscene. Replacement of relay board and front panel was approx 75% of the cost of a new unit.... Lucky for PartSelect - mine is hard mounted to the wall and a pain in the butt to replace - so this is the route I had to go. Wish the prices were a little more reasonable - otherwise, the transaction was fine.

Key board no touch and beeps
Unplugged unit 30 minutes before disassemble. Removed screws from door on Handle side had to remove door to get the three screws out on hinges, pop inner liner to remove key board pulled ribbon cable installed new board replaced inner panels , hung door and tested . Worked for couple hours same problems. Loss of key board and beeps next ?

How difficult is it to replace the control unit in the door?
For model number KHMS2050SSS0
Hello Jim, Thank you for your inquiry. To replace the control board on this unit you will need to use a putty knife and get between the inner and outer door panel and pop the inner door panel loose. Once you do this you will have access to the control board. It should be connected with a ribbon cable. For safety reasons, since the microwave capacitor can still store electricity even when the microwave is unplugged, it is usually advised that you discharge the capacitor before any attempt at repair.
