The lights do not work. We have replaced the bulbs, but still not turning on?
For model number KHMS2056SSS4
Hello Tom,
Thank you for your question. Our sources suggest replacing the light socket for your model under part PS1961309 to fix the light issues. We hope this helps!
It was suggested I replace the light sockets on this unit. Since replacing the bulbs did not work. How easy is it to replace the sockets and are there instructions on how to do it somewhere?
For model number KHMS2056SSS4
Hi Tom. It is not very difficult. To install the socket you will have to remove it from all power and if it is attached to a wall remove it and put it onto a stable surface. Then you will have to remove the back panel by removing all the back panel screws. Lower the back panel making sure it does not fall out. Disconnect the wire harness that goes to the light bulbs. To unplug the wire all you have to do is squeeze each side to release the locks and disconnect it. Set the back panel aside. There will be two lock sockets on each side of the back panel. Remove the wire harness from the socket. There may be a tab you will have to push in and a screw you will have to remove. Pull the light socket out of the housing carefully. Unscrew the bulb so you can put it into the new socket. Put the bulb into the new socket then feed back into the housing. Put the screw that holds it on in and bend the tab back over to secure the socket. Then reconnect the wire harness. Repeat this process for the other socket. Then you can put the panel back onto the microwave. Reconnect the wire harness for the light sockets. Lift the panel up and put the screws back in. Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair!
I want to replace the filters that are directly accessible behind the lights. They clip into a square frame. Which filter should I use.

What size screw head or type of tool do you need to remove the and replace the the light bulb?
For model number KHMS2056SSS4
Hi Scott, thank you for your question! To remove the halogen light bulb, part number PS886465, you may pull the bulb out. Once the old light is removed, you can push in the new light. We hope this information is useful!
There was no "fixing" per say but we still could not use the microwave without the plate. This has to be one of the biggest plates for a microwave. We ordered this through your company and we had it three days later. THREE DAYS! We had expected anywhere from 1-2 weeks. My husband was so impressed he bookmarked your site for future reference. Thank you for being so efficient and prompt. The glass turntable fit like a glove! Sincerely, Mark and Lia Hammond
By pulling the filter screens units down and out with a pair of pliers I had access to the surface lights. Pulled the lights out of their sockets and replaced the bulbs. Real easy. Since the filter units were out, replaced the filters and reinstalled the filter units. The whole operation took less than 15 minutes.
Remove the filters and use a Torx driver to remove two screws holding the motor. The wires on on the motor are held in place by a plastic clamp that must be pried open on one side. That's all it takes to replace the drive motor. Everything else that makes the turntable spin lifts off from inside the microwave.
