W238 Jenn-Air Cooktop - Instructions

Shut off power. Removed screws holding panel.Removed wires from old switch.Installed wires on new switch and reinstalled panel.EASY

I first thought it was the switch. I ordered one and the wrong one was shipped to me FROM ANOTHER COMPANY. After more trouble shooting I discovered it was the cartridge that needed to be replaces. I ordered one and again, the wrong one was shipped to me. They told me I could not get the right part because they were not made anymore.

So, I shipped it back and got in touch with Part Select. They found the right part and shipped it to me in 2 days. Problem fixed with the EXACT right part. I ordered the first part more than two months prior to receiving the correct part from PartSelect. All I had to do was plug it in to the recepticle in the stove. No tools required.

Followed other's instructions from the web site: First - turned off the power at circuit breaker; removed two screws from downdraft vent area; pushed the switch housing back towards vent and lifted; held replacement switch next to defective switch and removed and replaced one wire at a time; loosed switch collar-nut and swapped defective switch for new one. Only issue was the "rat's nest" of wires gave very little room to work, especially if you have average sized hands.

Lifted the grill out and slid the new burner unit in place. This was very easy; no problem at all.

Just unplugged the old cartridge and plugged in the new one. It took 2 seconds.

Pulled out old cartridges and installed new. Very easy and they work perfectly.
I was very happy with the extremely timely receipt of my purchase which was overnight. I paid for standard 3-5 day delivery.

just wanted another set of burners before Thanksgiving or Christmas rolled around and all I have ever had was two plus the grill part of my Jenn-Air. But I did find your site very easy to use and the delivery was very prompt and the packaging was wonderful. Unpacked the new cooktop, plugged the module into the outlet. Done.

Opened packaged slid new element into place and turned on. End of that job. Cooked dinner.

I decided to remove the original Jenn Air grill from my stove top and replace it with a new Jenn Air radiant Element Cartridge. I searched on Google for 'Jenn Air radiant top' and immediately found just the item on the PartSelect.com website. I placed the internet order that day and two days later -- kaboom - the part has arrived. I pluggedd it into the stove top (no tools needed) and it was better than new. To repair, I just pulled out the one unit and replaced with the new. Took longer to get the unit out of the box. We are greatly pleased. Ordered on Thursday and had the unit by Saturday. Saved over $100.00, WILL shop PartSelect again.

1. Remove the exhaust vent cover, located in the center of the top of the range. It just lifts off.
2. Swivel the clamp 90 degrees to release the filter.
3. Remove the filter and throw it away
4. Place new filter in place and lock in place by rotating the swivel clamp back 90 degress.
5. Replace the exhaust vent cover

The door came off easily after I removed the two hinge covers that are attached to the oven. Taking the door off can be done with one person but ideally two.

The new parts fit in perfectly and the hinge pin used for shipping comes out easiest with a pair or wire cutters (you do not cut it just grab it and pull).

After that, re-assemble the door and drop in place. It was a snap.

FYI...the shipping was ultra fast and the price was great.

No issues whatsover with the entire process.
