W238 Jenn-Air Cooktop - Instructions

The 15-year-old Jen-Air stove started smelling really bad. I thought it was a dead animal stuck in the exhaust tube which runs under the floor to the outside. I flushed it out with clorine bleach, but it was still bad. It turned out to the be the grease filter. I washed it every week in the diswasher, but it just was not enough to get it clean enough. Finally, the grease went rancid and smelled really bad. This "repair" took about 30 seconds.

I removed the stove top cartridge from the stove top and plugged in the new one. No tools were needed. It was very easy.

I needed two parts for the Jenn-Air stove that was in a house I was trying to get ready to sell. I didn't realize I needed the parts until the day before the house was to be listed. So, I was able to order from Parts Select and have the parts shipped overnight for an extra fee. They arrived the next morning. After opening the box, I realized the wrong color had been shipped. I called and the service I received was just awesome. The overnight shipping was refunded. And the right part was shipped out at no extra charge. I was told to keep the first part that had been shipped as well. The new part arrived the next day. Thumbs up for Parts Select! They are my new go-to-guy!

When burner insert arrived just plugged in. Piece of cake !

Bought a pair for needed door hinges for replacement. Found a DIY video on You Tube showing technique to replace. Door removal was a bit awkward but hinge replacement and door reinstallation was as detailed in video. Could not nor would not have tackled this project without video. Premium quality parts sent and received within days of ordering. Wife happy therefore so am I.

Although only one side hinge had snapped, I replaced both sides with new oven door hinges. Followed the website video installation directions and all went well; the new hinges work perfectly.

Simple repair. Unplugged element cart. and replaced.

I simply removed the old cartridge by lifting it up and pulling the plug end out. I slid the new coil cartridge with the plug end in its place. The grill replacement was similar. Remove the grll grates, pull out the burner element from its plug position, remove the grill rocks and insert the new coil cartridge in its place. No tools or special skills required. It's like I now have a new cook top.

:-) - Just removed the old one and replace with the new one. Nothing to it. Takes 30 seconds.

Your staff helped me find the updated replacement that worked and when I was having some connection issues helped me get it right!

Replaced unit

I am not really handy. When the repair man came and gave me a price of $220 to repair two infinite switches, I looked up the cost of the switch and saw that it was easy to do...and it was! I saved $140 for doing it myself (no help from my husband).

First I turned off the power, unscrewed two screws and took the knob panel off. Wrote down the colored wires and then pulled them off the infinite switch (some needed pliers) and then i just put the wires back on the new switch...done...it works!

Removed and replaced infinite switch ; removed and replaced both cartridge so that they matched

Unplugged the old element and plugged in the new one.

The best part was it arrived less then 24 hours after I ordered it. Unbelievable, thank you.
