LFX28968ST (ASTCNA0) LG Refrigerator - Instructions

Watched the video. Took the screws out, unplugged the connection and slid mullion off. Then plugged the new one in, slid it on and attached the two screws.

Pulled old gasket off by hand. New gasket was easy to install by pushing it into molded cutout in refrigerator door.
Very satisfying to have no glitches in the seamless installation.

simple economical replacement compared to what LG or local service company wanted to do the same service.

Followed instructions online

Swapped old one with new one. New one had extra plug not needed.

Scary not hard. But pry panel out start at bottom or right side and pull. and was told from tube video that lg said if you break a few tabs that was normal and not to worry there is plenty. I think I broke one but after repair just pushed it back into place and it is good as new. The broken part was obvious and easy to replace. Just go for it

Watched your youtube video and followed the instructions. Worked like new!

Removed ice dispenser and display with small screwdriver from front of the fridge. Pried out the whole piece slowly. This exposed the motor that activates the chute. Plugged in the new motor before any removal to verify the motor was the problem. When it worked, removed old and installed new. 3 screws. Piece of cake.

1. Unplug the refrigerator (to avoid shock) 2. With one screwdriver pry open the switch on the side facing the door to a gap of about 1/8 inch 3. Insert a second screwdriver into the gap to press the plastic tab back slightly and this should release the part. 4. pull the part out and unplug it, you may have to pry back some small tabs on the sides, 5. Plug in the new switch 6. plug in the refrigerator the light should come on, if not tighten the connection 7. Insert new switch back into its slot, it should snap in place. Done!

The glass was ordered correctly. The part was too big for mt refrigerator. I tried to send it back, but I got no reply. I tried cutting the glass to size and it shattered. I wasted 60.00 and im disgusted with your company.

Unscrewed what remained from broken door stop, aligned new one, screwed it in. Done!

Used a small screw driver inserted into the front of the switch (facing the front) and pried until the switch was coming out. When out, I removed the connect harness and replace the switch with a new one.

Just popped it in, just as easy as that!

Unplug from wall receptacle. Pry switch out with screwdriver while pushing on inner tab. Then disconnect electrical plug.

The 2 minute or so video was not exactly matching the model that we had but the instructions were very good and important. The switch was a little difficult to get out from the side of the refrigerator.
