GH4155XPS2 Whirlpool Microwave - Instructions

Very easy - 5 minutes and two screws. Just wish the fixings were more robust !

replaced burnt parts

1. Unplug the power cord from the wall socket. 2. Remove the 10 screws holding the bottom cabinet cover in place. The bottom cabinet cover will swing down allowing acces to the inside ofe the microwave. 3. Remove the connector from the turntable motor. 4. Use a T15 Torx driver to remove the 2 Torx screws holding the motor in place. 5. Remove the motor. 6. Reverse the process using the new motor.

Problem was easily diagnosed using the internet as a resource, problem was a bad stirrer motor. Hardest part of the repair was the removal of the microwave. Once off the wall, you remove the outer cover and a molded plastic casing directly underneath the outer cover at the top of hte microwave to expose the stirrer motor. Removed two screws and two wires and the old motor is out. Did exactly the opposite to install the new motor. The kit I recvd included among other things the motor, a new inside cover, plastic rivets and even silicone to seal the inside cover. I am sure I saved a couple hundred dollars by doing myself.

I didn't do the repair -- my husband did, said it was easy, had no problems what so ever! The new bulbs give a lot more light to the cooking area.

Took the replacement plate out of the box and put it in the microwave in seconds. I never realized how much of a difference having the correct microwave plate would make. It's great to have it back.

Ordered new vent part. Just set in place and fastened screws. These parts do not last because the plastic does deteriorate.

This rental unit was missing the vent grille for the mounted microwave. It was super simple to install and makes the microwave look like new.

Removed microwave case and bad part was right there in plain sight attached to the magatron. Two screws and two wires and part replacement was done. Plugged in microwave and works perfect. Couldn't have been any easier. Thanks for the easy troubleshooting and parts suggestions on your site.

Super easy! Just unscrewed remainder of the vent grille, saving the old screws as instructed on other reviews I read, and replaced vent grille with perfectly fitting new one...whole process took 15 min (while 9 months pregnant with a toddler hanging on my leg!) You had alerted that it was imperative to unplug unit before starting to remove defective bulb. As described, there was silicon on bulb and socket and bulb broke upon my attempt to remove. Had to use needle nose pliers to get metal base of old bulb from socket, then all went well.
