Could not properly open the door wirhout the handle
I Clean the handle both top and bottom. I place the cap in place on the bottom of the handle and tap it in snug with a hammer. I then place the top of the handle back into it's original position and then I screwed the end cap in place at the bottom. EASY !!

Refrigeration Door Handle End Cap cracked
The repair was REALLY SIMPLE. I popped off the cap cover from the existing end cap, insert the door handle to the new end cap, screw on the new end cap with a Phillips screw driver, and then push the old cap cover back on. Took less than 10 minutes, if that.

fans and lights worked in refrigerator but not cooling
By going on line and going to PartsSelect, the check out procedures traced the problem to the start/overload relay. Using a nut driver, I removed the back panel and using their instruction, I installed the overload relay. On the next to the last step on the instruction, the sealer in the kit was already hardened. I called the service hot line at PartsSelect and they apologized and sent me another kit to finish the repair. In two days, the new kit came and the repair was complete. The whole experience with PartsSelect was great.

My fridge did not have icemaker add on. The evap fan is in the freezer behind the back panel. Empty the freezer section (into a cooler) and turn the fridge off. Remove all the shelves in freezer section. Remove the shelf support tabs by lifting them up. use phillips head screwdiver to remove back panel in freezer section. Use nut driver to remove fan shroud. ice maker quit working
Replaced the water valve. I knew that the ice maker was working by watching the movement. It was not getting water to it, s I figured it was the electric water valve and sure enough, that fixed the problem.

The plastic water fill tube got cracked when we moved. I called a parts company and they told me they couldn't just sell me the tube I would have to buy a whole kit for about $50 dollars. I decided to glue the tube. It worked for a while then it started leaking. So I thought I would have to buy
I hand screwed the fill tube into the water tube and stuck it into the freezer hole. I screwed the fill tube to the back of the refrigerator.

Thanks so much! You saved me a bundle!!

The old ice maker water valve washer in the water inlet port went bad and was leaking. Lasted for 35 years,
The Whirlpool water inlet valve was better design than the original. All I had to do was drill 2 holes to mount it since it didn't mount in the same location as the old one. I liked the push in connection for the water outlet to the ice maker better than the original plastic screw connection.
