Pump was leaking water
Was very simple. First I unplugged the machine. I then pulled the machine about two feet from the wall. Next I carefully tipped the machine back until it was leaning against the wall. (take care to not pinch the cold and hot water hoses). I used a wastepaper basket to hold the machine in place. I imagine a Jack would be the proper tool for this but in this case the wastebasket was w/in arms reach so that's what I went with. I used a pair of pliers to then remove the rings holding the hoses on the pump. Next I used a flathead screwdriver to pop off the metal straps holding the pump in place. I them removed the old pump fit the new one in it's place slid the rings back into position and reattached the metal straps. Very easy. I like to think of myself as being pretty handy but I really don't know much about washers and dryers except how to operate them. This was a simple fix though and I recomend doing this yourself and saving a service charge from a repairman

pump was leaking
The pump was leaking through a small portal on the front. I do not know what purpose the portal which was covered served...but that was the portal (half moon shaped) that was leaking. I decided to try and glue it with poly epoxy...glued it once, checked for water leak and then added more glue..waited overnight for glue to dry. I reinstalled the glued pump and it is working fine. The new pump is now on my shelf for backup. Taking the old one off and reinstalling is no problem. follow suggestions of others at this site.

Leaking Pump
Flipped washer upside down and removed clips holding pump. Watch for excess water when washer is tipped over. Disconnect wires to pump. My pump had alot of corrosion and was a little stubborn coming off. I had to use a hammer and chisel to break off old pump. Pump shaft had to be cleaned up with a file and sandpaper before new pump would fit comfortably. Put clips back on and it was back in operation in a half hour. Good luck.

leaking after wash cycle
The new pump should have come with an explosive charge to remove the old pump, but the new pump was an exact match and ground shipping was super fast.

replacement of water pump
I basically read other accounts of doing the same job on your web site and the job was as easy as they said. Turn the machine on its back, spread a few towels out. Remove two hoses by squeezing the hose clamps and remove two clips that hold the pump in place. Remove the old pump, install the new one & replace the clips and hoses and you are done. Yo don't need to be a mechanic to do this job.

washing machine was leaking water
I tipped the washing machine over, removed two hose clamps from hoses, removed two clips that hold the water pump, put new pump on shaft, replaced clips, put hoses back on pump, and then i put clamps back on. I tipped machine back over and turned on washing machine and checked for leaks. It might have took 20 minutes to fix.

Water Pump Would Not Pump Water Out Of Machine
Unplugged the machine and turned off the water and then pulled it out away from the wall and then tilted the machine back to the wall, took a pair of pliers and removed the clips that held the water pump in place, removed the 2 hose clamps on the hoses and pulled the water pump off the, sanded the shaft that drove the water pump because the water pump had been leaking a little which caused the rust, applied grease to the shaft and reinstalled the new pump

Water leak
Followed the disassembly instructions given which were quite easy. I will admit I've done quite a bit of my own appliance repair before. VERY easy to replace the pump but unfortunately it wasn't what was leaking after reassembly. The corrugated drain hose was actually the leak source. Guess the smart thing to do would have been to go after the easier and cheaper repair tries first. At least this way, I have a new pump which should now last the life of the unit and it doesn't leak. I was able to find the hose locally for about the same price as PartSelect. However the pump was much, much cheaper even including shipping from PartSelect. Quick shipping too but a little frustrating because the person on the phone wasn't able to tell me what warehouse the pump was coming from. If I knew it was going to be Dallas, I wouldn't have paid for quicker shipping. Overall, very good experience.

Washer leaked while filling, but not during agitation.
1. Placed the washer with the front side down.
2. Propped up the pump a few inches with a piece of wood, because the pump was resting against the front of the washer.
3. Disconnected the two hoses.
4. Unclipped the pump and it dropped off. The clips came off too.
5. Placed the new pump on the motor shaft, made sure it was aligned properly.
6. Put the back clip on, then the forward clip.
7. Connected the hoses and installed a bottom pad that I previously removed to dry it out. Then picked up the washer and tested it. No Leaks. It took about half-an-hour, but really only about 5 minutes if a person knows exactly what they're doing.

leaking under machine while filling
First disconnect power supply, close both water supply valves, move machine away from wall and tilt machine back so that front of machine was about 12 to 14 inches off the floor. Place bucket under pump and hoses, wrap plastic around electric motor to prevent water from getting in motor. Disconnect hoses allowing water to drain in bucket, remove two retainer clips on pump, and pry pump off motor shaft. Use sandpaper or wire brush to clean rust off shaft, apply a small amount of oil or other lubricant to motor shaft, install pump aligning pump drive to motor drive, install retaining clips and reconnect hoses. let it down, plug it in, and turn on water, then wash.

Leak in the right front of the washing machine.
I found a Instructible.com project that showed how to open the washer case--it took about three minutes to open once I knew what to do. 20 minutes, including looking at the tutorial.

I matched the parts with pictures on this site, and had it mailed in. 20 minutes

It took about twenty minutes to get together some 2x4 lumber and a flat pan to catch the waste water that was sure to come out of the drain hose. With the washer tipped up and the pan under the pump, I pulled the hose clamps and hoses easily.

The pump was rusted to the shaft of the motor, so took about ten minutes of persuasion with a large screwdriver and a lot of rocking back and forth before it came off the shaft. I then sandpapered some of the rust off, and slid the replacement pump on. Next time I would fit the hoses on first--it would have been easier. The pump did not slip on easily, so a little tapping with a light hammer got it onto the motor shaft. I was concerned about damaging the bearing or seal of the pump, so was very gentle. With more time and better tools, I would have cleaned the shaft off completely.

The case went together as easily as it came apart, in about three minutes. I carefully mopped and dried the area the pump was in, and ran an empty cycle through the washer. I checked back during the next several loads, and the floor remained dry.

Water leaking from washer
First I unplug electric plug, then turn off water lines & disconnected them. Pulled out the washer where I could easily work on it. Then removed the screws holding the back panel and top control knob panel by separating it from main body. (Spring clips on control panel were a bit tight to pop off.) Once removed back & top, the main body of washer, hinges forward and pulls out and off. Now the pump is accessible, so I remove the two hoses clamps and pull off hoses, and pop off two spring clips holding pump on the motor. Then I slide new pump onto the motor, (line up flat spot on shaft with pump) and pop the spring clips back on and reconnect the hoses and clamps. Put main body, back and top control panel back together the opposite of the way I took it a part. Moved washer back and reconnected water lines and plugged in. No more water on the floor… (Note:) Washer leak happened on Sunday & Monday was holiday of coarse. So I ordered the new pump Sunday online and it arrived by Wednesday. Thank You PartSelect.com.

Washer was leaking
First I remoived the 2 screws that hold on the control panel and tilted it back. Next I removed the clips that retain the lower enclosure and tilted it forward to remove it. With the lower enclosure out of the way I used pliers to remove the 2 hose clamps on the pump and a screw driver to undo the retaining clips. Installed the new pump and reassembled everything in the reverse order. The only trrouble I had was in getting the lower enclosure back on correctly. It took a little effort to get everything lined up so it would fit.

Small amout of water on floor near front of washing machine
Turned water off at wall and disconnected electrical power cord from outlet.

Tilted washer backward far enough to view water pump and bottom of tub, motor, etc.. Saw drip of water on one of the two clamps that secure the pump on shaft.

Removed the two hoses that are connected to pump (drained water in a pan). Using screw driver, removed the two clamps that hold the pump on the shaft. Wet, greasy shaft allowed pump to slip off easily.

Installed large hose onto new pump, then put new pump onto shaft...then aligned four pump legs in place, then snapped the two clamps on to secure pump in place on shaft.

Installed second hose.

Kim, ar PartSelect.com was great!
