Noisey operation, then NO operation.
I tore down the dryer, to find any and all issues. The belt was worn, the rear support wheels were worn, the Blower Wheel was cracked and busted, the left felt support was absent, the right felt support was shot, the water tube leading to the steaming chamber was split in two and disconnected. Ordered all parts from here, they shipped VERY fast, and the hardest part is getting the drum back in and set right. The belt was fairly 3easy to put back on if you removed the water tube support and get your right hand all the way back in there so you can pull the pulley wheel back while holding the belt. Completely cleaned the cabinet out, vacuum and scraper. Put a new exhaust hose on while I was at it, just in case. Once everything was put back together, carefully, the dryer works as good as new. I was told to never get rid of this dryer, they quit making them, and I see why. Easy to repair, does my dress clothes in the top cabinet, dries like a commercial machine in the lower. Oh some installation notes...The front panel comes completely off, if you disconnect the ground and the yellow wire on the lower right (your right) side. This makes everything else much easier. There are 4 front panel screws, 4 edge screws, and four counter screws inside the upper cabinet that must be removed. I had to pull the side holder screws to removed the top plat so I could remove the drum. Keep track of your screws!!! You will need a flathead, a Phillips, a small socket (I forget what size), and some needle nose pliers to remove clips (from the wheel).

Excessive Idler Pulley wear; very noisy
1. Disconnect power cord and remove flexible duct. 2. Tilt dryer back and lean against wall, using folded towel to prevent wall damage. 3. Remove front/bottom panel - 4 screws on front/bottom of dryer. 4. Make alignment marks on internal vent duct where it attaches to vent bottom duct housing. Remove internal vent duct screw (towards front/top of duct) and slide vent duct out back of dryer (duct has to be removed to remove back panel) 5. Remove top panel (4 screws on back/top). 6. Remove AC power terminal block from back panel, disconnecting wire that restricts free movement of terminal block. Remove power cord from terminal block (3 nuts). Remove back panel (many screws). 7. From rear of dryer, gain access to idler pulley spring arm. Carefully note how belt routes around motor pulley and idler pulley (maybe record an image). Release belt from idler pulley. 8. Remove idler pulley triangle retainer (if still on pulley shaft) and remove old pulley. 9. Thoroughly vacuum lint and dust from all areas of dryer, internal duct, flexible duct and duct in wall (as far as possible) while dryer is in disassembled state. 10. Thoroughly clean idler pulley shaft of deposits with cloth. If desired, add very small amount of Park Tools Polylube 1000 to the cleaned shaft. 11. Install new washer, idler pulley and triangle retainer to shaft. 12. Re-route belt around pulley in original orientation. 13. Reassemble rear panel to dryer, terminal block to rear panel, and power cable and internal wire to terminal block. 14. Reassemble top cover to dryer. 15. Insert internal duct back into front vent duct, aligning guide marks, and secure with the one screw. 16. Plug unit in and briefly test, then unplug. 17. Again, tilt dryer against wall and reinstall front/bottom panel and screws. 18. Install flexible duct, plug in power cord and position unit for operation.

Noise coming from the dryer
After watching your video, and reviewing the directions, I was able to change the rollers, the belt and tension bar with ease. The parts cost me slightly under 50.00 and now the noise is gone and my dryer works great. I am very pleased with PARTSELECT and would use them again. The parts were at my house within three days of placing the order !!!

Opened up the dryer and found that the belt broke. Came to this web-sight and was quickly directed to the correct part once viewing the schematics, and then watched the video. My mothers dryer was making an strange/loud noise
After running the unit for a minute or so I removed the back of the dryer. Unable to locate the problem from this vantage point, I then removed the bottom kick plate. Using a small flash light, and turning the drum by hand I discovered that one of the support rollers had burned out the bearings. I went to this web site to see if I could still get parts for the unit. I found not only the part, but a full repair kit. Knowing all the parts would need to be replaced at some point, and that Mom could not afford a new unit I replaced everything. The parts did truly arrive in one day when they arrived I went back to your web site. I had seen instructional videos while looking for the repair parts. After watching the video I removed the dryer drum, removed the parts to be replaced (2 drum support rollers the belt tension roller, and belt) I replaced old with new cleaned entire unit reassembled and it is working like a champ thank you very much for all the parts, and info

Dryer not tumbling and squeaking
My dryer all of a sudden stopped tumbling. When I opened up the machine, it turns out that the drive belt was broken. I simply put in the model number in PartSelect.com and found this kit that came with the belt, and drum rollers. The belt fixed the tumbling issue, and after replacing the rollers, the machine is as quite as a mouse! The instructional video helped show me exactly what to do and expect. This was my first time fixing an appliance, and it only took me 45 minutes!

Load whinning sound
I reviewed the instruction video. Excellant video. exactly like my dryer. Just followed the instructions. I did put a shoe under the drum for easier installation of belt onto idler pulley. I vacuumed and cleaned inside. Really not that dirty.Excellant web site and video instructions. Wish I had done the repair sooner. Also God Bless the residents of OK city, Moore, and ElReno.

My wife says the dryer just hums and nothing elese happens.
I assumed the drum belt has broken so without looking and tearing into the dryer first. I looked at the model number on parts select and the belt was $43.00. However the maintenance kit wihich included the belt, 2 wheel guides and belt tensioner was only $25.00. go figure. Ordered it and within 3 days it was at my front door. After opening the dryer I noticed the belt was intact. After removing the drum I notice heavy resistance on the motor. Thinking motor bearings were out! The internal motor heaters would drop out and than reset. Opened the fan shroud and found that a sock had fallin into the top lint screen opening and locked up the fan wheel with out the persons knowledge when the screen was than pushed back into place. Alot of work to find out something so simple. hilarious actually. What a relief that it was not the motor and since I had it apart I went ahead and put in the entire maintenance kit anyway. The whole ordeal toless than 1 hr.

Belt broke
I followed the instructions from this website. Repair was simple with the video guide. Repair estimates were for $150 -$200, I spent less than $40 for the belt, new tension idler, and new rollers. It runs like new again. Parts arrived in 2 days! GREAT SERVICE! I'll be back and am telling my friends about your site!

High pitch noise
Ordered a parts kit with belt, tensioner, rollers, & clips, but did not use. Unfortunately, the kit was not correct for this model, regardless of the sales reps assurances. The kit had two rollers, our unit has four. The belt tensioner was not even close to being the same. However, a thorough cleaning of the interior with vacuum and rag was done. Removed, cleaned, and lubed each of the four rollers and the tensioner wheel as well. Lubed with small amounts of sewing machine oil on the axles and light spray of silicone on plastic to plastic contact points. Voila! It's as quiet as new.
