Ice chute would not open.
Removed ice dispenser and display with small screwdriver from front of the fridge. Pried out the whole piece slowly. This exposed the motor that activates the chute. Plugged in the new motor before any removal to verify the motor was the problem. When it worked, removed old and installed new. 3 screws. Piece of cake.

the dispenser door does not close at all. gentle pressure puts it up but will not stay shut. how do i access behind the panel to see if it’s the motor or a broken piece? thanks
For model number LFX28968ST /04
Hello Joe, Thank you for contacting us. To remove the panel, you need a putty knife with masking tape on the end to prevent scratches. Use the putty knife to first remove the drip tray by lifting up on the tabs. Then use the putty knife around the edges of the panel (there are tabs around the edges that need to be released). You should then be able to pull the display cover off. Good luck with your repair.

Flap not opening to drop the ice cubes from the icemaker. Could this be a possible dead solenoid? What is the part number for the solenoid?
Model LFX31925ST /02
Thank you.
For model number LFX31925ST/02
Hello Rick, thank you for your inquiry. Before replacing the solenoid, we would recommend checking the dispenser door motor, part number PS7791867, to solve the problem. It opens and shuts the ice door on the ice dispenser chute. We hope that helps!

My unit powers up but does not cool or freeze , what is the most likely problem or part the need replacing ????
thanks in advance .
For model number LG LMXS30776D
Hello Don, thank you for your question. If the compressor is running but not cooling we would recommend checking the temperature sensors, evaporator fan motor and damper to be sure the air is getting into the unit from the freezer. Also check the evaporator behind the back wall of the freezer to see if there is ice buildup on the coils. If there is ice there you should check the defrost heater and thermostat. I hope this helps.

Ice and water dispenser no longer is making ice or dispensing water. We have pulled refrigerator out and there is no leaking water. Not sure where to go from here.
For model number 79551082010
Hello Jenna, Thank you for the question. This could be an indicator the Water Filter needs to be replaced. If the Filter is over 6 months old it should be replaced. If the Filter has been replaced, you may have a defective Water Inlet Valve. We hope this helps!
My ice maker sometimes works but most of the time does not dispense ice. Water works fine. What do you think is the issue? Also, it says i need to replace the filter. Is the filter the issue?
For model number LSXS26326S
Hello Ronald, thank you for your inquiry. Ice that has sat around for a while will tend to fuse together into a great big clump due to its own weight. Or, it could be your refrigerator display has been locked, it will not dispense water or ice. Press and hold the lock key on your display for 3 seconds to unlock. Make sure there is ice in the ice bin. Make sure the refrigerator doors are completely closed when trying to dispense.

MY ICE DISPENCER DOOR TAKES TO LONG TO CLOSE AND ICE KEPSS DISPENCING
For model number LFX25978ST
Hello Dino, Thank you for your inquiry. We have researched the model number that you have provided and would recommend testing the motor with a multimeter to see if it is causing the issue. If you are unfamiliar with how a multimeter functions, we have videos available to assist you. We also recommend checking the dispenser door cap and lever spring for any visible damage or debris. Good luck with your repair and if you need assistance with placing an order, please do not hesitate to call our customer service. We look forward to hearing from you.
Code CF-E is displaying on my door- please explain the code and what needs repair
For model number LRMVS3006S
Hi Jocelyn, thank you for the question. The CFE error code means the condenser fan motor is not turning. You want to check the condenser fan motor, part number PS16662422, to see if it is working correctly and to replace it if it is not working. We are sure this will help!
Hi Dale,
Thank you for your question. You will have to gently pry off the dispenser housing to get to this motor. You can do that using a putty knife. Start at the bottom on your housing and then do the top and it should pop out. I could suggest putting a piece of masking tape over the knife, so you do not scratch your appliance. Good luck with your repair.
