The freezer isnt getting cold enough. The refrigerator is cold but the freezer isnt.

Hello Kristie, Thank you for your inquiry. We would recommend checking the following parts to fix your issue: temperature sensor, defrost/sheath heater, evaporator fan motor and control board. The refrigerator is not getting cold, the temperature is listed as error. The freezer however is functioning normally. I am assuming it is some sort of temperature regulation sensor. Please advise. The compressor is running and the refrigerator appears to go back on line when the unit is unplugged and then plug back in but it still does not appear to be working correctly and frequently then switches back to the error message.

Hello Mike, Thank you for the question. We suggest testing the Sensor with a Multimeter. The best way to do this is to remove the thermostat from the refrigerator so you can control the temperature of the sensor. You can let the sensor warm up to room temperature. With the sensor warmed up to room temperature the sensor should read approximately 6.2K Ohms at 68°F. With the thermistor submerged is a glass full of ice water, the sensor should be very close to 32°F which should read approximately 16.3K Ohms. If the values that you are getting are far off from these readings, then the sensor is bad and should be replaced. We hope this helps!

Hi Felicia, thank you for reaching out. It appears that your refrigerator may have a damaged duct assembly, part number PS11707980. It channels cold air from the freezer into the fresh food section. You may need to replace it to solve the problem. Glad to be of help!

Trying to locate the thermister, which I suspect is the issue. Unit cools to 50F. compressor and both fans run fine. Condensor is clean. Diagnostic seems to indicate no problems; held the 2 buttons to increase temp for 3 seconds and got all LEDs lit up on display. There is what appears to be a temperature sensor in the ceiling assembly-I do not see that part on exploded diagram. What do you suggest?

Thank you for your question. There is a defrost sensor assembly in the fresh food section, part number PS3529165, and there is a temperature sensor in the freezer section, part number PS3598284.
