Leaking drain hose
First I removed hose from drain, next I loosened the clamp at the drain hose connection at the washer. Removed hose. Have rags/towels as there is some residual water that will spill out of the washer. Reinstall in reverse.

there was a hole in the original drain hose
First, I read the previous repair stories, so I knew what step to do first. So, first I took the hose off of the drain, then I removed it from the washer. And as the previous repair story stated, some water came out and I had a towel ready to catch the water that was in the hose. I threaded the clamp onto the new hose, pushed the new hose onto the washer, used the pliers to open the clamp to better clamp the hose onto the washer. Then, placed the drain hose into the drain pipe and it was done! Thanks for such a great site!

Old outgoing water hose leaking
1. Need mop, bucket to catch leftover water in machine before you remove old hose. 2. Removed old hose by removing clamp. 3. Dried up any remaining water around fixture before attaching new hose. 4. Slide clamp to bottom of hose before attaching to machine. 5. Attached hose and clamp to machine where old hose was removed from. Make sure clamp is secure. (Please note that clamp that came with the new hose was too big. I used the old one. Worked perfectly). 6. Finally run a little water in you washer, then run out to test tightness and there is no leaks.

Old drainage hose had a break in it.

Pulled washer out from wall removed clamp and old drain hose addnew hose replaced clamp put washer back in plact connected drain to outlet simple operation

My external drain hose split and obviously was leaking. I replaced it with a 6 foot long hose from the local hardware store. Since I replaced the hose the leak has stopped but the washer does not drain. Six inches of water remains after running the cycles. The replacement hose is flexible and not rigid as the original hose. It is soft and kinked from being packaged. It though the kinks would go out as water pushed through the hose, but this does not seem to be happening. Does this machine require a rigid drain hose?

What is the diameter of both ends of the replacement hose? My old one is 1 1/8 inches on each end.

I need an Extension part for #285664

My original hose goes inside a rubber coupling then the coupling fits over the drain outlet on the back of the washer.
Outside diameter of the hose must be 1.48 inches to be tight enough to not leak in the coupling. Is this hose at least that big? The hoses that I have been told fit are 1and 1/8 inches or smaller. I am told locally that my machine is too old to have the correct size hose available. Please give me exact measurements for this hose.
