My ice maker will make ice and not stop making ice. What controls the ice maker to make it stop making ice in my Amana refrigerator?

Hello Larry, Thank you for inquiry. Checking your model, there is both a control device inside of the ice maker which calls for water from the water inlet valve, and the dispenser control board. It is also possible that the ice solenoid in the valve could be faulty and sending too much water to the ice maker. Check the board for any visible damage or loose connections, and we have provided a link to our video on testing the ice maker and water inlet valve. Good luck with your repair.
