I have a frigidaire top load washer. There is dark brown liquid coming out from the bottom of the agitator on to the tub. It seems to be oil. I removed the agitator and there is oil cover the inside of the agitator. I think the oil is coming from the transmission. Is it possible that a seal broke on the transmission and causing the oil the come out?

When the drum spins the agitator should disengage and move with it, same direction same speed. In my case the agitator is not disengaging and moves back and forth (like it is stuck on washing cycle) at the same time the drum is spinning. This started 2 days ago and now the clothes camome out soaking wet
