I have an Amana Model: NTW4516FW top washer that came without a Softener Dispenser (we were on a budget). The wifey was complaining about how difficult it was for her to time the addition of the softener. So I Google/YouTube and found some creative people who used Whirlpool parts to modify. Fabric Softener Despenser arrived very quickly and was very easy to install. Just remove existing cap and insert. We love it because we no longer have to wait for the rice cycle and stop the washer to add softener. I am still at a loss why the manufacturer of the washer decided to remove this feature from their model...if you missed the cycle you had to run the rince cycle again wasting electricity, water and time. Thank you for stocking this hard to find accessory that the manufacturer no longer has in stocks and should have been included in the first place. I would not hesitate to recommend partselect.ca !!

the first order was ordered wrong for me and the part was to big so I had to send it back and order another. The second dispenser was the right one and went on well to the machine. Just had to put it on the machine by hand.

Fabric Softener Dispenser clogged
Pushed the new one into place. No tools, no fuss and very little swearing involved. Clogg was caused by erroneously pouring the liquid detergent into the very handy opening reserved for fabric softener. I'd love to say my wife did that, but.... no, it was me. NOW, the real story. I ordered the part via the web at 10:00 a.m. It was delivered to me at 9:30 a.m. the next morning via Fed Ex. Wow! Great job at PartSelect.

Agitator broken. Bolt missing.
Had to clean out area where bolt was to go as it was full of debris. Placed agitator on, bolted on , placed softener dispenser on. Done

The dispenser that I purchased 1 year ago broke (flaw in plastic part, I think)
My washer is an Amana He, but the part is made by Whirlpool, I think. I just set the new part on the middle agitator in the washer and pushed it firmly down and it snapped into place. It was amazingly EASY!!!!!!!

Agitator was not spinning
Pretty simple, I removed one of the screws that holds the agitator, pulled it up completely and put the new one in. Took me 5 minutes to do so.
