Here are the two most common ways to remove a microwave wave guide cover: Many wave guide covers are held in place with either a single screw or several screws. Remove the screw(s), and then slip the cover out of its housing. Other models require that you remove the entire outer cabinet of the microwave before you can remove the wave guide cover. In these models, the wave guide cover is most often secured to the internal right hand wall. With the outer cabinet removed, examine the right side of the unit. You should see where the wave guide cover secures in place. You will likely need to push down on the top of cover's clips to release it.
