Works but doesn't look great
Part was easy to install fits perfectly, but the paint job does not look oem. It looked like crocodile skin. For the price, I expected a better finish on the paint.

The spider was broken--all 3 arms! The tub cover was worn as a result.
I followed the instructions give by video by Steve, the technician on that video. That video was FANTASTIC! I'm competent at repairs but tackling something like this with specific help on the order of steps saved me lots of time. Once I finished the work (8 hours of labor start to finish; 3 weeks to get the last part), the washer worked like new!

Noisy Bearings
In order to replace the bearings of a front loader LG Washer you will need to disassemble the entire unit. you should have excellent mechanical skills to tackle this project with necessary tools. Plan on replacing both bearings and rear seal, also plan on replacing the spider and drum seal. The Spider that supports the inner drum will be corroded due in part to seal failure. By the time you are hearing the bearing noise the damage to the spider will have taken place and need replacing. You can watch a few videos on youtube with similar appliances to give you an idea of the project at hand. Once disassembled cleaned and inspected the assembly goes real smooth. The washer now works as good as new and is ready for another 10+ years of service. Doing this project myself has saved me from buying a new one and that savings amounts to over $1000 bucks. LG washers are built to last and you will see that while working on it! Good Luck and do your homework!

Im having issues with the washer getting out of balance I hav checked the shock absorbers and replaced one but still having the same prob. as the drum gets out of balance and bangs against the sides. wht shall I replace or do next ?
For model number WM3470HVA
Hi Pat, thank you for getting in touch. Based on our understanding of the issue, we would suggest replacing the spider spinner support, part number PS11759952, to solve the problem. If the drum is moving excessively, one or more drum spider arms are likely cracked. It supports and spins the spin basket. Glad to be of assistance!

My LG washer is model WM2240CS. Can't locate that model from your inventory but assume that the WM2240CM would be the same. Mine started a very bad rubber burned smell and from the symptoms indicate a possible failure of the "Spider". Any way someone could confirm the part number to order?

For model number WM2240CS
Hello Luc, thank you for your question. A common reason for washers smelling like burning rubber is that the drain pump PartSelect Number PS3579318 is overheating or drum touching the door gasket on the high spin. Front-loading washers might have overheating door gaskets PartSelect Number PS3524977 or failed drum bearings. We don't believe it is a spider PS11759952. We hope to hear from you soon.
