What is the TRAP for?
For model number MHN33PDCWW0
Hi Peter, thank you for reaching out. Based on our research, the part that you mentioned attaches to the water level pressure hose and helps control the water level. We hope this information helps!

My machine sets code 9-2
The drain pump gets hot to the touch
Replaced pump because the impeller was rubbing on the housing
Code sets again after the third load.
Once again pump hot and resistance test open circuit.
Pump cools down and starts to work again
It runs for 8 minutes at a time and I do not know the approx time it should run when emptying the tub.
Pressure switch?
For model number WFW9150WW02
Hi Chad, thank you for your inquiry. Look for clogs or blockages in the sump area. Even with a new pump, a subtle blockage in the connecting hoses, the sump area, or the household plumbing the machine drains into can restrict water flow. This forces the pump motor to work harder, draw excessive current, and overheat. A faulty pressure switch or water level switch, part number PS12745510, or the tubing connected to it, might not be accurately detecting when the tub is empty. This could prevent the control board from cutting power to the pump at the appropriate time. Glad to be of help!
