Product Description
Dryer Timer Specifications
This dryer timer controls how long each drying cycle runs and helps manage the heater and motor so clothes dry evenly and reliably. It is commonly replaced when a dryer won’t start, won’t advance through cycles, or leaves clothes damp due to incorrect timing. Installing the new timer is straightforward—unplug the dryer, remove the control panel, transfer each wire from the old timer to the same position on the new one, and secure it before reassembling the panel.

Dryer Timer Failed
Repair was simple after I found out how to get access (via 4 screws on the top edge). The plastic plug at the dial center was pried out & screws securing timer dial removed. The screws securing the timer were behind the dial plate. With the old timer out the wires were carefully swapped and the system reassembled.

Timer does not advance in both "auto dry" modes. The timer does advance in the "time dry" mode.
For model number GDG410
Hi Dennis,
Thank you for your question. If your dryer timer is not advancing on a few of the cycles, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the cycling thermostats and the timer. We have included a link that you may reference on how to check these parts. Once you have determined the part you need, please feel free to call customer service. We are open 7 days a week and anyone will be happy to assist you. We look forward to hearing from you!
