The water / ice dispenser will sometimes not stop dispensing. I have to open the door for a short time for it to stop. When using it later - it works properly. I'm wondering if there is a relay or switch that is malfunctioning.

My water dispenser sometimes gets stuck open, not shutting off so water goes everywhere. I know to open the door to shut it off but it I want to replace the part. Is this part the correct one for my refrigerator?

Hello, my refrigerator water and ice dispenser does not always work. Sometimes you push on the lever arm and water or ice comes out, sometimes you push and nothing comes out. I have removed the entire assembly/panel from the door and think the switch the arm activates may have a problem, but I am not sure. I understand you are limited as you cannot see it, but any input would be appreciated or at the very least, confirm the part number for that switch. Thank you.
