WMH1163XVS1 Whirlpool Microwave - Instructions

I used the website appliancerepairlessons.com and watched a short video that showed me how to easily replace the door. Whirlpool will not give you repair instructions instead suggest you call Sears Repair. I need to purchase a small set of torque wrenches that I'm sure will come in handy in the future.

Twas really easy considering that all I had to do was place the plate back in the microwave. Easy Peasey

Tray arrived in a short period of time and was a perfect match.

Simply placed new dish on the rotating hub.

The problem I have with changing the bulb is my microwave is an overhead one and therefore I cannot tip it on its side to easily replace the bulb. I have to drop the lid down and carefully install the new bulb from underneath.

For grease filter, just slipped it in outside area. For charcoal filter, unscrewed the top of microwave and replaced existing filter, then screwed back the top.

Arrived in 24hours!!! Great.

Time to replace the charcoal filter

First let me say that I tried several places to get what I thought was a simple light bulb. This included several national hardware stores as well as a national electrical supply company. No luck. I replaced all the damaged components and the exterior skin. Unit looks and operates like it just came out of the package brand new.

To replace charcoal filter in microwave, had to take grill off. Tabs on 2 of the 3 screws were fractured and then glued. This happened at the factory. Found Parts Select on the internet who had the grill and filter. Received parts in less than 5 days. Grill was easy to install as the 3rd tab had been eliminated on the replacement part. You had alerted that it was imperative to unplug unit before starting to remove defective bulb. As described, there was silicon on bulb and socket and bulb broke upon my attempt to remove. Had to use needle nose pliers to get metal base of old bulb from socket, then all went well.

I unscrewed the filter cover, replaced the charcoal filter and replace the cover. The other wire mesh filter slides right into place. You sent me the right parts for my filter replacement on my microwave. Easy install. Thanks
