The washer drum would not spin around completely. It would just jerk and try to spin. Error code LE showed up.
We followed the installation video step by step that was found on another website.

Replace leaky water valve
Very simple. Watched video.
Pulled the washer out to get behind it.
Turned off water supply, unplugged it.
Unscrewed the screwesholding the top in place, slid top back, lifted it off.
Used pliers to open the clamps holding the pipes to the valve - one at a time. And fitted the pipes to new valve, one at a time.
SOME WATER REMAINS IN THESE PIPES, SO PUT A TOWEL UNDERNEATH TO CATCH IT.
Removed the electrical connectors one at a time and fitted them to the new valve one at a time.
Did same to the hot valve - not leaking but decided to replace it before it did leak.
Reattached water supply hoses and electric plug.
Tested the washer cycle to make sure no leaks.
Put top back on and pushed washer back to wall.
Apart from the testing, the whole job took 25 minutes.
The parts arrived on Day 2 after the order.
VERY PLEASED WITH EVERYTHING!

Loud drain pump
Not too bad, had a neighbor help with the project as washer/dryer were stacked. removed dryer from on top out of way. Drained washer, tilted on side to get access from down below. Second person help here. unscrewed drain pump from front, Used pliers to unclamp hoses, disconnect wires to motor (already pulled power from wall) pushed plastic clip holding in unit and pulled out. New unit was factory new, not a knockoff. We took extra time to clean out hoses, especially from the main washer unit, it was a simple unscrew clamp and pull hose down. We sprayed out gunk from hoses and parts going back in. Once new unit was ready, installed back and reconnected hose and power. The clamps were somewhat of a pain with the overall size and angles to get them seated and on correctly. Much easier to take off, but take the time to reinstall correctly. Don’t need water leaking. Motor much quieter now, wife is happy.

Washer did not recognize the door was shut
I removed the Wire and spring from the tub seal and then removed the seal on the side of the washer that contains the Door switch. I removed the two screws that held the door switch in place while holding the switch with my other hand. Once the screws where out I pulled the switch assembly out thru the gap and removed the wires from old assembly. I then plugged the wires into the new assembly aligned the holes up and put the screws back in the new door switch assembly. I then put the door seal and tub seal holder back on. This took about 15 minutes. I do recomend that you unplug the washer before starting this process.

Washer sounded like the 3:10 to Yuma was rolling through the laundry room when the washer hit the spin cycle.
Google LG washing machine bearing replacement, you'll find a very informative video narrated by a British gentleman who will walk you through the steps. If you are even a slightly handy DIY'er this is an easy job although very time consuming. Take your time with reassembling the machine. I missed a couple of connections and while testing it out I flooded the laundry room. Could have been avoided if I had taken a picture of every individual item I disconnected.

Washer not pumping out and making ominous noises
Totally dis-assembled this washer to check the bearings and drum plus fix the pump problem. We wash dog blankets occasionally and found the little drain hose from the front door gasket was clogged with hair. It makes a 90 degree turn and it gets caught there. THAT fixed the smell issue. As far as the pump replacement goes its quite easy. Videos online are your friend.

The washer drum sounded like a plane taking off in the mudroom.
Started with some resin paper on the floor, some painter’s tape, and a sharpie to keep track of screws and removed parts (painter’s tape to stick hardware to). Set up iPad on dryer and followed every step by step instruction by pausing the video. The instructions were perfect (but would have liked some more close up shots). Installation of new bearings was exactly as demonstrated and truly appreciated the step by step descriptions to put it all back. Hardest part of the repair was replacing the wire ring on the rubble gasket — only step not displayed. Suggestions for future repair videos: 1) how to organized hardware as removed; 2) more close ups; 3) a video showing the problem at the start followed by a video showing post repair. As a visual person, I have spend the past few days watching the spin cycle wondering if there is a wobble or shudder etc… Similar to the feeling of buying a used car…every clunk or shudder gets you worried. Love that I saved $1000 plus taking on the repair.

Dry bearing noise
I researched the symptom, watched a repair video, ordered the parts: one rear bearing, seal, and gasket. After disassembly found inner bearing to be bad. Ordered inner bearing. Then found the spider or hub shaft corroded, and ordered spider. Finally with all the parts replaced, assembled washer and returned it to service.

Spring broke that holds the drum up.
To put the new spring on requires two people. One to pull the drum up as far as possible and hold it in place and the other to attach the spring to the drum and the into the slot on the side of the washer frame. It takes a lot of leverage and strength to get the spring into the slot. We used a screw driver as leverage to get the spring extended to slip into the slot. You might also need the plastic holder part# 4930FR3040A. If the washer door boot has come off due to spring breaking, you will need to reset it. That requires also removing front panel. There is a large wire ring that holds the boot in place. You either need a special pair of pliers to expand the spring to reset the boot or a lot of strength to do it with a couple screw drivers.
