RK767G*D2 Hotpoint Wall Oven - Instructions

removed the element with 2 screws. disconected element with 2 screws. reversed order to install new element.

Shopped online for a good price for the heating element. Thw element came very quickly, very good packaging. Removed and replaced the element.

Looked up mfg. and part #,looked at blow up of stove on parts select, identified element. The part came overnite. Shut down power, removed 2 screws with a nut driver, pulled element foreward to reveal 2 screws attaching wires. Replaced in reverse order, turned on power, back in service. 10 minutes tops.

It is simple.

Cut off the power. Remove racks. Remove burned out element and replace with new one.

Replace racks and turn on the power. Set the clock.

I've done this about 5 times and now keep a spare element.

Removed burn out element,very easy to installed, screwed them in, done that fast!

Ordered the part on a Friday afternoon and was shocked to receive the box on Saturday AM! Turned off the power to the unit, unscrewed the screws holding in the old element, and hooked up the new one. We didn't have a socket wrench so we subbed a pliers. So easy & cheap! Seems like everything's breaking around this house & this is the ONLY thing that was easy & cost less than $20! Happy with Parts Select!

Turned the main breaker off and locked it out. Removed the original element using a 1/4" nut driver. Installed the new element using a Philips screwdriver. Turned the power on. Tha'ts it. Easy!

I turned off the power at the breaker for the oven. I had to use a small wrench to get off the two screws keeping the bake element in the oven.

I pulled it out a bit and exposed where the element screws into the power.

To prevent the wires from receding back into the wall after I unscrewed them, I taped them to the inside of the oven.

After removing the old element, I just installed the new one the same way. Screwed it into the power, and tightened the panel to the back of the oven.

Reset the breaker, and you're good to go.

Took 10 mins tops. It is pretty cramped in there and you need a good flashlight to see what you're doing.

After checking the website, I wasn't sure the part I needed was available. Called the Customer Service number and the lady was very helpful.
My part was delivered in 2 days regular UPS.

The most time took finding which breaker shut off the power to the oven. Removed two screws on the inside of the oven at the back wall. Pulled out the wiring and removed two more screws that attached the power to the element. Replaced the old element with the new one. Reversed the process. Done in 12 minutes! Very easy.

Removed two screws to release the burner, then two screws to disconnect the wiring and replace them. Then inserted the burner int position and replaced the two screws which were removed to remove the burner.

Very easy, however you will need a flashlight to see by since the back of the oven is rather dark.

The bottom heating element burned out. Ordered the right part and my husband fixed the heating element. This saved a lot of money.Thanks, RM from South Carolina

Getting the part out was easy. Turned the power off (of course) first. The outside nuts were corroded, so had to use a pair of pliers to get them off. The inside connectors were easier to get off. I had a little trouble getting the connectors on the wires. The metal part on the heating element kept wanting to bend. I finally had someone hold that in place while I made the connections. The outside screws were easy to put on. The oven now works great. I think the element was failing over a period of time, and we just didn't notice. I can't remember the last time I actually saw the element get RED hot. Works great. Thanks for your quick service and reasonable prices. Will definitely use you again, when I need parts like this. Removed access screws from bake element cover, removed screws retaining wire connections on bake element, reverse procedure, and heat to burn off contaminants.

Turned off power at breaker and removed old element and replaced new element.

Turned off electricity at fuse box. Unscrewed old element and removed. Put in new element, screwed it in. Turned on electricity. Voila.
