This company has everything!! One simple spring was all I needed. Fast shipping and product was exactly what they said I needed. Took me less than a minute to fix!! I’ll definitely shop here again!!

Once I understand how to remove the old part the rest was very easy .
Had ice in a couple of hours .

Really nothing to say simply replace the old spring with the new one and it’s as good as new

Used pliers to put new spring in place;
Time took about 3seconds and I’m a female. Video provided very helpful.

Called someone else. Got the parts elsewhere.
Got the fridge back online 3 week longer than it should.
got charged for the part then failed to send it.
then finally allowed they didn't have the part in stock.

After purchasing the spring I realized the hinge was the culprit. It has the retainer for the spring as part of it, a small plastic piece that broke off cause the spring to get lost. The hinge replacement was a little more in depth but the video on the hinge is very good and on point.

Spent a dollar 1.97 on the spring.7.00 on shipping and fixed it in less than 5 minutes.Fantastic

Placed lower spring leg in hole first. Manipulated upper spring leg into upper hole with needle nose pliers.

I removed the old spring along with the sleeve and inserted the new one in its place. used a small screw driver to remove the sleeve and inserted the sleeve side in first. took 5 minutes..

Placed one end of the new spring in left hole and used the needle nose pliers to insert the other end of the spring in the right hole.

Took out Philip’s screw. Applied heat from hand hair dryer for one minute. Unplugged wire plug. Pushed ice maker lever to release and gently pulled forward.Removed old ice maker and replaced with a new maker.
Plugged in wire harness and replaced wire cover.

I am 70 and identified the problem and ordered the part. I watched a video lots of times that showed how to... slowing it down to catch details.
It is very easy... and the only problem was that when you are trying to get the assembly out you need a lot of hand strenght that I don't have.
My son easily wriggled and loosened it and out it came. Plug in the wires and pop the new unit in.
Two hours later I heard the delightful sound of ice dropping into the bucket and amazingly the bottom freezer started making ice too!
There is no mention that they are related but it did. We thought the freezer sensor had died but it all works!

replacing broken french door spring.

Held spring with needle nose pliers and slipped into place

Received package, cut open. Removed broken handle. Unscrewed broken support. Support slid right out. Took off end piece. Added end pieces to each new support. Slid new support into place. Re-set screw. Re-attached handle. Couldn’t believe it was so easy!
