It couldn't be easier. Just pry out the old broken switch with a flat blade screwdriver. start at the bottom in case you scratch the door by accident. When the bottom is out - pull the switch out slowly and disconnect the two wires that are attached to the top, taking care to remember which color lead is connected to which wire. Then, take the new switch and connect the proper wires to their respective terminals and push the switch into the slot. Done!

No tools needed - simply a middle hydrator drawer replacement. Pulled out old (broken) drawer and slid in new replacement.

Removed the shelf from the fridge. Cleaned it, removed the broken stop, slid in the new one. Put the shelf back in the fridge. VOILA! 2 minutes.

The customer service was outstanding. Ordered Monday and part arrive next day. I used a nongrease silicon spray on the gasket and it slipped into the slot without a problem.

Watched a youtube on capacitors- though on a motor with a pulley, the symptoms were the same, motor running and pulley not turning-bad capacitor. Took a chance for a 17+ dollar part vs a new compressor. It worked.

We just pried off the fan blades and pushed on the new part. Could not have been easier. The rat has been permanently dipatched and, hopefully, that is that.

Ordered the part and within three working days the part was delivered. It took two minutes to pry off the broken part and one minute to snap in the new one.

Googled the model number of refrigerator with symptoms of "refrigerator wont run". Parts select web site appeared on my screen, opened Parts Select website, Partselect said probable cause of my frige symptom was that the run capacitor usually burns out 51% of the time. They were correct with the diagnosis 100%. I ordered the run capacitor for $23.00, installed it in 10 minutes, refrigerator runs good as new. Thank you for saving me cost of service call. I probably saved $200 or more. I will use Partselect again with my next problem. THANK YOU,

It really was as simple as the other folks noted. Slid a screwdriver into the edge of the broken switch and it popped right out. Disconnected and reconnected each of the two wires and just slid the switch back into the slot. Truly a DIY fix.

Replaced light switch. Defrost cycle remains suspect but refrigerator has worked OK for about 10 days.

Things fall out of my refrigerator frequently thus the broken lite switch. Thought tape would solve until new part arrived. Thank goodness part came the next day as even with tape on and door close and light bulbs removed fridge read door as open and would not cool It is programmed not to run with door open. Within 24 hours part was delivered, unbelievable . It was that fast. Easy insertion and plugged in to the wiring and my refridge once more recognized the door was shut and began cooling. slipped the part in , attached the spring, that was all it took

i followed all the other submited solutions. really easy. popped out the broken light switch with thin tip screwdriver. careful not to let wires slip into compartment. then attached wires as i pulled them off broken switch. then carefully pop the new switch back in the slot. when i was younger i worked for an appliance repair company. i felt confident in this repair.
