the design of this part is easy to break when closing the top rack.

there is a hub that clicks in place and a spinner within this that makes the water spray evenly on the top of the tub of the dishwasher

the part broke when closing the rack [a dish too tall hit it]

it took less than 5 minutes to replace as the part just clicks into two edge spots i did this without removing the rack or even looking into the tub all by feel

Replaced old gasket with new one. More difficult than expected, because new gasket was much stiffer than old one. Also, the yellow centering spot on gasket (to line up with top latch) was nearly impossible to see. Unfortunately, this did not solve the problem for me, so money was wasted. Bought new dishwasher.

No tools required. The seal just pushes into a channel around the tub. The lower ends are held by a wire that spans the lower edge of the door. The center of the gasket is marked to agree the the tub center.l. The seal just pulls out so I removed it and the wire. Cleaned the seal channel and wire and installed the new seal starting at the Top center and working down to. the lower ends are anchored,I found the center of the seal and upper channel and pushed it in place and worked around the corners and down. It took longer to clean the channel and door than to install the gasket.

I have them to the plumber who was reinstalling a poorly installed dishwasher. Parts worked perfectly

The service lady looked up possible trouble items and narrowed it down to the flood switch. Being the most likely cause, I ordered a new one. I removed both trays, the lower sprayer, and both screens. The flood switch has an electric plug on the bottom of it that just pulls off. Just as with other appliance repairs, I actually got the old flood switch to work again before trying the new one. I should have tried to free up the float before ordering the new one. But in case this happens again, I’ll just put the new one in.

First of all the part I ordered came a lot sooner than expected.
I thought it would take 5 to 10 days.
I ordered it on a Tuesday and it was at my door on Thursday.
The part was difficult to take off as this was the first time I attempted this.
When the new part came, I saw that I went to too much trouble to take the old one off.
It was installed in about 40 minutes and we were off and running.

Turn off water .Remove 4 screws holding lower front panels.Remove panels, valve is on left . Remove 2 screws that hold valve , slip valve up over clip. Using pliers slide clamp back, remove hose from valve.disconnect wire clip , unscrew from water fill line. Install new valve in the reverse order

The first posted instruction is dead on (except there are 14 phillips screws (not 10) on inside of door. Also, when reconnecting the 2" quick connect, make sure it is fully inserted - otherwise the numbers on the display panel will not show correctly. Mine didn't the first time, and I had to re-open the door panel and giggle around with the connection to get the numbers to display properly.

So after noticing some horrid food waste build up in my 9 year old dishwasher, I determined it wasn't heating the water during the wash cycle. I came on here to check how to replace the heating element and was surprised when the flood switch was instead strongly recommended as the first repair step.

I ordered the part, and prepped the dishwasher for the repair (Pro-tip: Clothes pin attached to the bottom of the flood switch wiring harness ensures it doesn't slip down below the opening during the part swap!). The part swap and reassembly only took 5-10 mins or so after prep and dishwasher is now heating water and running great again. Received part, removed lower panel and shut water and power off to appliance. Used flash light to see under dishwasher, removed the two screws that held part in place. Loosed clamp that held the water tube in place to part. Placed towel down to catch water. Pulled the line out so I could get to the nut that is attached to inlet part. Unhooked the plug after all water was gotten up. The main knuckle that's attached to the pump was on so tight that I took it to my local gas station for an mechanic to unscrew it for me....I have arthritis in my hands. Station is only two mins from me and wasn't a problem for them to do for me. Came back put fresh Teflon tape on joint and reattached it to new part. Attached all hoses and clamps, plugged electrical prongs back in and attached bracket back to body of dishwasher. Turned water on and checked for leaks. Turned power back on and ran a cycle of dishes to wash....all went well. If the knuckle was on so tight the job would have only taken about 40 min at best.

Water valve replacement was easy. Turned off water supply valve. Unscrewed water supply from valve on dishwasher, removed 2 water hoses , that feed top and bottom sprayer’s And reinstalled everything opposite of removal. 5min job

Open dishwasher and remove the bottom spray wheel, filter, and unscrew the mounting bracket to release the pump connector below the bottom of the unit. Remove mounting screws at top front of dishwasher and carefully slide the unit out; you may have to pry side panels inward with a flat screwdriver in order to get the dishwasher past any cabinetry. Be careful not to pull the dishwasher too far out as the water supply and drain hoses could be damaged. Unplug the unit. Turn unit sideways and tip over onto its' back. At this point, the sump will have to be removed using a nut-driver and/or socket set. This will open access to remove the old pump connector. Replace the old connector with the new connector, and reassemble the sump, connecting and firmly tightening all connectors. Tip unit upright. Screw mounting bracket back into the bottom of the dishwasher and put the remaining parts back. Before pushing the unit back into it's nook, I advise running a quick cycle just to make sure there is no leakage. If there is no leakage, put the unit back, tighten the mounting screws and you're done.

Turn off power and water from dishwasher. Remove Base Access Panel. Remove the upper 2 screws that holds the dishwasher in place. Pull out dishwasher. Locate the valve and remove the 2 screws holding the mounting bracket. (I used a hex Nutdriver to remove the screws) Remove the valve. Disconnect the wire connector. Disconnect water supply. (Place a towel to catch the water) Loosen the hose clamp holding the inlet hose and remove the hose. (I used pliers to loosen the clamp) Remove the elbow from the old valve and reattach to the new valve. (Use teflon tape around the threads) Reverse the Process. Check for leaks. Piece of Cake. Part was an exact fit.
