MH3184XPS4 Whirlpool Microwave - Instructions

Ordered new part on Thursday night and new part arrived the following Monday. After unpacking I just snapped the new grille in place and the job was done. I was really impressed with the quick service that I received from PartSelect.

Rep knew exactly what I needed when I described where the part should go on my microwave - price great - shipping great - installed in seconds. Thank you!

Replaced the supports and rack.

Spouse just screwed in the new bulb and reinstalled the light cover plate with the two screws. Took under a minute. Works great.

I ordered another one and placed it inside the microwave. It works and fits perfectly. I received the order exactly as scheduled.

Removed turntable
Place support ring in track
Place turntable on support ring.
Easy, peasy!

Husband replaced the bulb

Unplug the microwave. Then remove the six screws that hold the lower panel which has the light bulb cover and a couple of vent filters. The light bulb sockets are on a fixture that is connected by a quick connect electrical connector. Disconnect that and the whole panel is free to access the bulbs. My bulbs were very fragile and trying to twist them out resulted in the glass twisitng loose with the base still in the sockets. I needed to use a needle nose pliers to remove the bases and then I replaced the bulbs and put every thing back together

With new replacement grill, a separate clip was supplied in the box that had to be screwed in to the top portion. This clip did not fit since the hole for the screw was on the right side and not the left, so I just snapped the grill in place with the existing clips.
There must be another clip that fits this unit but perhaps the person packing the box grabbed the wrong clip and taped it in with the shipped box.

I called my brother, he is much more proficient with reading instructions and figuring out how they go together,! He had it done in less than 30 mins.! I love my brother!!!

Looked up the Whirlpool Co. and ordered the part. It was quite simple. Arrived in 2 days and I simply placed it in the microware. It was very very easy!

First, we had to clean up all the interior surfaces, which was just cleaning. There was no internal damage. Then, just setting the center connector, rotary rollers and glass plate. Simple

replaced the socket per recommendations on this web site. this did not correct the problem.

Fit it into the frame and it popped right in.

Exact piece arriven. All I had to do was line it up on the correct bottom guides press hard on the top and it snapped into place. Everything lined up.
