MDB100RGD0 Frigidaire - Instructions

I just popped on a new Arm. So easy. The amazing thing was how fast I had the part and how easy it was to find on Partselect.com. I ordered the part Monday and had it Tuesday. I was stunned and the tenant was impressed.

remove vanity panel
disconnect copper supply line from valve
remove valve mounting screws
rotate valve to access hose clamp
loosen clamp and slide up rubber tubing about 2 inches
pull hose off barbed fitting and remove old valve
reverse order with new valve

Unplugged dishwasher, removed the 2 wires clipped to the heating element, removed both cracked nuts, replaced with new nuts from PartSelect, clipped on wires, plugged in and did a test cycle. Based upon service quote from Best Buy, I saved myself $125.00 for just the call out, not including parts and labor.

First I shut off the power to the dishwasher from the breaker panel. Then I removed the five screws holding the plastic top panel to the door (on the frigidaire, there is no need to remove the entire stainless steel door panel). I removed each of the four wires from the old latch (pulling the wires off required some "oomph") one by one and plugged them into the corresponding position on the new one. I did this so I would be sure to have them in the right place. I used a torx screwdriver to remove the two screws holding the old latch. I then replaced the old latch with the new one, replaced the top panel of the door, turned the breaker back on and everything was as good as new! The whole operation took maybe 20 minutes. It couldn't have been easier. The only surprises were how difficult it was to pull the wires off and the fact that the screws holding the latch were torx head.

In future, when I need parts, I will definitely use PartSelect. I have gotten parts from other sources, and this is the first place where, along with the part, you get all this advice from other DIY'ers. It's an absolutely brilliant idea and a lot of help.

Removed screws and put new bottom gasket in old one just fell out.

took the door off after several failed attempts, which is easy to do - 2 scews. Then it was easier to find the channel the gasket fits into.

For all Frigidaire diswasher owners, after taking the door off, I realized it was the seal around the soap dispenser that was leaking, due to stripped screws, not the gasket. I rigged it with silicone caulk, but may have to replace that - looks easy, .

Found your website, red the reviews, followed the simple instructions provided by others that had had the same problem and repair was complete in less than a minute. No tools needed. I am a handy girl and tackle a lot of repairs/projects, this is the first time that the job was actually easier than stated. Thanks for providing a good porduct, at a decent price WITH LAYMAN INSTRUCTIONS!!!

Remove old spray arm and pressed the new part into place. Let the dishwasher run and the load came out very clean. Overall very pleased.

I disconnected the power to the machine. Removed the bottom access panel and screws holding the dishwaher in the cabinet opening so I could carefully slide the dishwasher out.
Taking note of the pump position at the bottom of the dishwasher I removed the two wire leads, screws and hoses(pliers). I installed the new part in the reverse order and was able to run the dishwasher for a cycle while it was out to make sure there were no leaks.
Dishwasher runs great and the dishes seem cleaner. Fingers crossed.

Remove and replace the door gasket. Removed the 6 phillips head screws holding the top panel cover. This gives access to the latch assembly. Remove the two screw holding the latch in place. I removed the four wires one at a time with needle nose pliers and plugged them on the right spade of the new latch assembly. This assures getting them in the correct position. I then mounted the latch with the two screws and installed the cover with the 6 screws. Job done, piece of cake.

It is rather easy to repair. After you remove the screws that secure the top of the dishwasher to the countertop you can slide the disherwasher out far enough to gain access to the hose. The hose pulls off after you slide the spring clips down the hose far enough so they no longer grab. Then simply reverse the order and you're done. Less than 30 minutes and you should no longer have to hand wash your dishes!

Intuitive repair if you are one of those people that take things apart & put them back together for kicks. Nothing fancy about this repair, as all the parts have no adjusting. Remove the 6 phillips heads screws on the inside of the dishwasher panel. The front electric panel comes off, leaving the inside exposed with the wires. Unhook 4 wires to the handle. Remove (2) star shaped screw headed screws. (The most difficult part if you don't have this bit.) New handle can only go in one way. Re-attach wires & screw panel back on. The latch required pulling the dishwasher out a couple inches from under the countertop to access the mounting screws. The dishwasher is held in place with 2 screws into the countertop/or side cabinet. Slide dishwasher out. Remove 2 screws and replace. Once again, there is only one way the latch can be installed. All is good, and easily accomplished in 5 minutes....if you have the "star" bit, which does come in a couple different sizes.
